Hey You, Pikachu!

In Hey You, Pikachu!, we developed a microphone exclusively for the Nintendo 64, and created the world's first game where you could use your voice to communicate with a game character. "The Voice Recognition Unit needed to be customized to accommodate the child's voice quality, but when the child was in front of the actual game, he got excited and yelled 'Bigajuv!!' That was unexpected." (Muneaki Ozawa) (December 12, 1998)

Pokémon TCG GB

In Pokémon TCG GB, we were in charge of planning and supervision. The battles, deck editing, collection, and trading were all re-created on the Game Boy. The card illustrations were drawn in detail with pixel art. (December 18, 1998)

Release information

This card was included in the Gym Heroes expansion as both a Holofoil and Non Holofoil card. The Holofoil print was first released in the Japanese Tamamushi City Gym Theme Deck, while the Non Holofoil print was first released in the Japanese Leaders' Stadium expansion. Both feature artwork by Ken Sugimori.

Erika was reclassified as a Supporter card, and was reprinted in the Cosmic Eclipse expansion with different artwork by Megumi Mizutani, first released as one of the Japanese SM-P Promotional cards. In Japan, this print was given to participants of Mewtwo HR Competitions, Limited format events held in conjunction with the release of the Remix Bout subset. Competitors received 15 Remix Bout packs and 15 copies each of basic Grass, Fire, Water, Fighting, Psychic, and Darkness Energy cards upon paying the entry fee and were required to construct a 40-card deck comprising solely these cards. Mewtwo HR Competitions were held at participating Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Card Stations, and stores hosting Pokémon Card Gym meetings between July 5 and September 1, 2019. An invitation-only event was also held at the NicoNico Honsha, Ikebukuro, Tokyo on July 4, 2019.

This card's Tamamushi City Gym print was included in the Pokémon Card Game 25th Anniversary Creatures Deck, a commemorative Half Deck given to Creatures, Inc. illustrators and staff members to celebrate the Pokémon 25th Anniversary and the company's 26th. In this deck, this card represents the year 1998 of the company's history, and the back contains information about the Pokémon Trading Card Game Game Boy game and Hey You, Pikachu!. This card has a "25th" stamp next to the illustration.
