Sacred Fire inflicts damage, with a 50% chance of burning the target. If the user is frozen, using Sacred Fire will thaw out the user and deal damage to the target in the same turn.
Sacred Fire can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 4 bonus appeal points if Sunny Day was used in the previous turn.
Generation VIII
In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Sacred Fire could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in previous generations.

Sacred Fire is a move in Pokémon GO that has been available since February 26, 2022.
Sacred Fire also has two variants: Sacred Fire+ and Sacred Fire++. Sacred Fire+ is default Charged Attack for Apex Shadow Ho-Oh. Upon purification, Sacred Fire+ will change to Sacred Fire++.
