Shadow Punch is a Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III that deals a small amount of damage.

Effect

Shadow Punch does damage, and is unaffected by accuracy and evasion modifiers. It will not hit a Pokémon during the semi-invulnerable turn of moves like Dig, Fly, Dive, and others like them.

In the anime

Pokémon

Gengar. Gengar's arms are surrounded by dark energy in the form of purple lightning bolts. It then punches the opponent.
