Jasmine's Speech Patterns

Jasmine has trouble speaking? Do you mean she has a speech impediment (which I don't recall her having), or do you mean that she has social trouble due to her shyness? In that case...I donno, 'trouble speaking' seems like the wrong phrase to use. --BJ

I'd have to second that one on just being straight shyness, and no speech impediment...

I meant that she freezes up and mumbles while talking because she's so shy. Not that she actually has a impediment or disorder or anything. I mean, if I said I had "trouble drawing" it just means that I'm bad at drawing. Not that I have arthritis or am missing a hand. But if you'd like to rephrase it, be my guest. - Zeta

It is not even worth mentioning; just because someone pauses or says "um" does not mean they have trouble speaking. -Lord Hyren 01:31, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

D/P

Her quotes from Diamond and Pearl should added along with Her Steelix and what moves it uses in the super contests.--Lego3400 20:49, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

her relative

in "fight for the light" she is in the lighthouse with her Grandpa Myron, but the page says her relatives are unknown -Moldy orange

Grandpa Myron? Never heard of 'em. Was he seen? --Maxim 20:53, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
Yes he was seen! He is in the shining lighthouse with jasmine when Ash and co. come to talk to her again. He is the one who explains to Ash that Ampharos was the light for the lighthouse before there was electricity and that once the other lighthouse was built, they still use Ampharos to continue the tradition. and how it is sick. He is with Jasmine throughout the last half of the episode. -Moldy orange 23:58, 1 January 2008

Super contest

I was in a super contest on diamond the other day and I saw her in the audience. Darkmaster0

Already mentioned in the article -Lord Hyren 01:33, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
No it's not. She enters super contests, she might be watching regular contests. We have nothing about her watching super contests. It might be trivia-worthy, but I'd like you to provide a picture. After all, it wouldn't make much sense to have Jasmine watching super contests if she's in them. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 02:22, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Kankitsu Family?

"The Steel President of the Kankitsu Family" is the translation of her Japanese title. Does this mean her family name, at least in the Japanese version, is Kankitsu (Kankitsu Mikan)? Looking deeper into the meaning of Kankitsu, it is also the name for Pumello Island in the Japanese version, and thus must be a variant of the orange fruit. Therefore, it could be just a joke in reference to her name, Mikan, which is another variant of orange. Still, I wonder if they really mean her to be her family name. Ah. Here it seems "Kankitsurui" means "Citrus Fruits", so Kankitsu probably just means citrus fruit. This would make her, Mikan (the Mandarin Orange) the "President" of the Citrus Fruit Family. I must conclude it's most likely just a joke, not her actual name. Still, it is worth noting. Satosuke 01:01, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

We've had stranger names. TTEchidna 02:12, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
"Kankitsu Family" is a Mistranslation. It should be Citrus Family (family under its biological definition). --Maxim 13:25, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
"Kankitsu" is "citrus" in Japanese, so I don't see how it's a mistranslation. --Kohei 04:56, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
But it's not a family name. And what is not a proper noun, should be translated. It's like the infamous Red "Inazuma". In other words, leaving wors untranslated is a mistranslation because it may indicate they are proper nouns (e.g. family names), while they are not. --Maxim 06:38, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Traded Steelix

...has the same nickname as the one she uses in Contests. Moves? Or do they vary based on the level? TTEchidna 01:06, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

I would assume it's based on level as usual though... as for Brock's Rhyhorn guaranteeing Thunder Fang... I'm not sure... ht14 01:52, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

G/S/C Sprite

Anyone notice how her sprite from Gold, Silver, and Crystal seems a little... scrunched? Or is it just my computer? The file itself seems fine, and it only looks like this on her page. --Leo058

I have no idea what the hell I just did, but it appears to have fixed it :P. Oh, and please sign your comments by typing ~~~~ at the end of them.--Liquid ICE (User:Cold)(page, talk) 12:37, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh no, wait, I didn't do anything, I think it was just something screwy with the server (This happened to me on Brock as well). Next time you see anything like this, try purging the server by clicking the UTC clock in the upper right corner of the page first (It worked for me).--Liquid ICE (User:Cold)(page, talk) 13:16, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Or, all you have to do is click on the image, and then refresh the image's page. Things like this normally happen when a new image is uploaded and replaces an older one. It happened with Silver's HGSS sprite a few weeks back, where on the page it was only about 30 pixels tall. When you refresh/purge the file, it fixes the image/sprite for every page it's currently on. R.A. Hunter Blade 18:59, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Two places at once?

If DPPt and HGSS take place at the same time, then isn't Jasmine in 2 places at once? Never Give Up Pika 00:03, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Preeeeetty sure that a lot can happen (including traveling) during an unspecified period of time within the same year. 梅子 00:07, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Also, it is never explicitly stated the two games occur at the exact same time. Without wanting to get into miles of debate about all this, remember that the events of DPPt are triggered by the sighting of a Red Gyarados. Jasmine appears at the end of that, so has plenty of time to run to Sinnoh in between losses to Gold. —darklordtrom 00:18, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
"At the same time" doesn't always mean "at the exact same second". TTEchidna 00:25, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Jasmine's Steelix trade

Jasmine just offered to trade me her Steelix, even though I haven't even tried to beat her in a rematch yet, nor have I gotten a call from her offering a trade (although it's slightly possible I could have missed the call). I forgot I had gotten her phone number already and was looking to see if she was in the gym since she wasn't in the Olivine Cafe, and after talking to her twice I had the option to trade one of my pokemon for her Steelix.
