Behavior
Silcoon, being merely a cocoon, cannot do much more than quietly hang from a tree branch, waiting for the right conditions for evolution. It hardens frequently.
In A Corphish out of Water, May's Wurmple evolved into a Silcoon alongside Jessie's Wurmple which evolved into a Cascoon. Both promptly evolved into their current state in Seeing is Believing, where Silcoon and Cascoon evolved into May's Beautifly and Dustox, respectively.
Silcoon, the Cocoon Pokémon. Silcoon is the evolved form of Wurmple. Using its thread to attach itself to a tree branch, it waits to evolve to its next stage. When it grows thirsty, it drinks the dew that collects on its string.
The silk cocoon it spins winds it around tree branches to prevent it from falling and waits quietly inside for evolution. It peeps out through a small hole.*
Silcoon tethers itself to a tree branch using silk to keep from falling. There, this Pokémon hangs quietly while it awaits evolution. It peers out of the silk cocoon through a small hole.
Silcoon was thought to endure hunger and not consume anything before its evolution. However, it is now thought that this Pokémon slakes its thirst by drinking rainwater that collects on its silk.
