Route 3
Route 3 is another short route that links Pewter City to Mt. Moon. Make sure your team is ready for a fight - you'll be ambushed as soon as you enter the cave.

The Mt Moon caves have decreased in size over the years, ending up as a single tunnel connecting Route 3 and Route 4.
As soon as you set foot into the cave, your rival shows up to challenge you to a battle.
Once he runs off, walk to the east climb the ladder to reach Mt Moon Square.
Mt Moon Square
The small shop here offers a few handy items for sale.
Make a mental note to visit the small courtyard on a Monday night. A group of Clefairy can be seen here, dancing and worshiping the moon. If interrupted, the group will run off, leaving a large rock behind. Smashing it reveals a Moon Stone.
Enter the southern cave and jump the ledge to exit to Route 4.
Route 4
Another short, uneventful route. Pick up the Ultra Ball and HP Up, and then fly back to Pewter City.
Head south through Route 2's tree maze, and you'll find yourself in Viridian City.
