Ash's Pikachu meets a herd of wild Pikachu and befriends them.
Party changes
Ash's Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Oddish appear for the first time in You Gotta Have Friends. Their capture is not depicted in the manga. Instead, there is a notice at the bottom of the panel saying that "Ash has been busy since the last comic!".
Gym battles
Jessie and James are shown battling Koga in a montage sequence in ET07, though it is not stated if they win or lose.
Translation edits
Much like in the first volume, much of the large busts and revealing clothing, such as the Nurses in ET06, was edited out and re-drawn for VIZ Media's translation. Unlike the first volume, however, Chuang Yi's translation does not contain these edits, as Chuang Yi's translation of the second volume was based on the original Japanese and not VIZ Media's version.
