Does the Exp Share gives the same amount of EVs or is it shared?

Same as switching does. Both Pokémon get the same effort points. TTEchidna 02:33, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Does that mean that both Pokemon get the full amount of EV? Like, say I fought a Golduck--would both Pokemon get the 2 Sp. Attack EVs, or would each only get 1? HerbieHero 19:15, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Daycare

As a pokemon recieves experience at around 1exp per step, would using an exp share make it 1.5 which rounds to 2?---Just Asking---Mattrules161 10:16, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't think exp share has any uses outside of battle, and since its in the daycare there is no other Pokémon to share exp with. So i dont think you would earn double exp by giving a pokémon a n expshare in the daycare ---> 223david 13:57, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
A poke can't share experience with itself, either. -- evkl (need to talk?) 14:04, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Exp. Share, Pokérus, and EV gain

I have a Milotic infected with the Pokérus, and holding the Exp. Share. It is the only Pokémon in my party, and I use it to beat Fisherman Andrew (who has 6 Magikarps). Magikarps normally give 1 EV to Speed each. How many EVs does my Milotic receive in this case, and how is this amount calculated?

I ask this because I am uncertain whether the Exp. Share doubles EVs like it doubles Exp when it is held by the sole combatant in the party. This makes it hard for me to track EVs, as I don't know if I'm getting 24 EVs (1 EV × 2 from Exp. Share × 2 from Pokérus × 6 Magikarps) or 12 EVs (no effect from Exp. Share). It doesn't double experience when held by the only one who's sent out in battle. Both halves of the experience go to the same Pokémon. TTEchidna 20:04, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Lucky Egg

Does the effect of the Lucky Egg stack with trading? So a traded Pokémon recieves boosted....boosted EXP? Or does it have no effect? FrozenStrategy 17:39, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

I believe so. Like the EXP Share. —darklordtrom 23:57, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

HGSS

Should it be noted that in Heartgold and Soulsilver dose not double EXP if the pokemon holding it is the only one in the battle? (Kmanecke 02:28, 7 September 2010 (UTC))

What? What item are you talking about? PhantomJunkie 02:30, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
In my Diamond version, when the battle is won, the EXP share doubles the EXP gained. (Kmanecke 02:38, 7 September 2010 (UTC))
It shouldn't. The experience share doesn't change the total experience gained in any game, it just changes the distribution of the experience. If one of the Pokémon getting a share of the experience is at level 100 their share doesn't get redistributed, it's simply lost. Maybe you're seeing the effect of that? Or maybe a glitch??? (Kmanecke 17:12, 7 September 2010 (UTC))
