Kanto Route 16

Route 16 connects to Celadon City in the east to the beginning of Route 17, Cylcing Road in the west.

The entrance and exit out of Cycling Road may be blocked by a sleeping Snorlax. In which case a Poké Flute or PokéGear playing the Pokémon March is required to awaken the Sleeping roadblock.

The northern half of the road is seperate from the southern half. It can be reached by using Cut. There is a grassy area there, as a well as a woman who vacations in a house with her Flying-type Pokémon. She'll give out HM 02 Fly in exchange for keeping the word of her secret hideaway under wraps.

After Snorlax is removed, Cycling Road on the south side of the route can be reached. But the guard will not let anyone without a Bicycle pass. From then on, travel to Route 16's Cycling Road is unhindered.
