Trivia
- Kuitaran and Aianto are the only two Pokémon to have a base stat total of 484. This is probably to reflect their rivalry.
- Kuitaran, along with Torkoal, are only non-legendary Template:Type2 that have no evolutionary relatives.
- Coincidentally, both of them have White Smoke as one of their ability.
Origin
Kuitaran seems to be based on an anteater.
Name origin
Its name seems to be a make use of the クイ kui "eater" of アリクイ arikui "anteater".
