Trivia

Eyecatch 1; the updated version
Eyecatch 2; the updated version
  • There is no Professor Oak's Live Caster following this episode.
  • The eyecatches have been updated to include Iris and Dent.
  • The genders of all of the Pokémon Ash has captured in Isshu are confirmed in this episode (Mijumaru and Pokabu are male while Mamepato and Tsutarja are female).
    • This also marks the largest number of a main character's Pokémon's genders being revealed in one episode, a total of four.
    • This episode also marks the first time in the series that Ash has had more than one confirmed female Pokémon on hand.
  • This is the first episode of Best Wishes not to debut any new Pokémon.
  • This episode marks the third time Ash has captured all the starters of that region. He did so for the first time in Kanto, then did it again in Johto. However, for the next two regions, he didn't, only getting one starter in Hoenn, and two in Sinnoh.

Errors

  • When Kibago comes out of Iris's hair after the group wonders who took the food, Kibago is missing the Green things around its eyes.
