They are first introduced in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs as UFOs, they find one on the ocean floor by Lapras Beach with the help of lapras and give it to Nema to fix which she dose later in the game. They are use by the bad guys in the game to maove around the island so they can easily control the islands Pokémon.
