Introduction
I've been a die-hard Pokémon fan for as long as I can remember. While all of my cool friends figured out along the way that Pokémon doesn't impress the ladies, they slowly lost interest. I, however, missed that memo. Still playin' to this day, and now I even get to educate all those uneducated newbies out there, thanks to Bulbapedia. No one needs to tell the ladies, though. :)
Games
My legacy began with Pokémon Blue Version, where I started with a Squirtle. I then ended up obtaining at least one game from every generation, but I was never really into getting every version of every generation. I settled with going through multiple run-throughs of the one I had instead.
My team structure usually goes something like this:
- Starter
- Cool Pokémon
- Cool Pokémon
- Cool Pokémon...
I think you get the picture. I don't worry about things like HMs too much. Usually they work out when I get the ones that look the coolest. I'm not a big worrier about Speed either. I'm more of a defensive fighter. This apathy for Speed and love of Defense usually results in heavy Pokémon, which is AWESOME. I'm a big fan of Water, Grass, and Steel types, but this is second priority to looking cool.
Dream Teams
I would just like to note that I have never actually run through the games with these teams. I guess that's why they call them Dream Teams. :)
Generation I
|
Unfortunately, Steel-type didn't exist in Generation I. But AWESOMENESS sure did! Pretty diverse typing, only overlapping in Water-type. I also find it pretty funny how most of their body shapes resemble circles. :)

Generation II
|
Generation II astounded me. As if 150 wasn't enough, now we get 100 more?? So it stands to reason that I chose my team either because they looked funny or awesome. Or both.
|
Generation III
|
This was definately one of my favorite generations. Not only were there better graphics, but the Pokémon just looked so...cool! Typing isn't the diverse-est, but there were a lot of cool single-type-ers.
|
Generation IV
|
All right, I know what you're thinking. Two-thirds of my team IS, in fact, of the Steel-type. But how could I resist? These are some of the first genuinely cool Steel-types, including the ones in Generation II! Plus I get two electric-types for some Special Attacking action!
|
Generation V
|
Did I mention I love heavy Pokémon? And hey, my first diverse team since Generation II! Not to mention my first Fire-type starter! What a generation! I was also impressed with the grass-steel combination that is Nattorei. He has good moves, good typing, good stats, and he hangs in caves and waits to obliterate his prey. And you wonder why he's my favorite. :)
