Release information
In Japan, this card was reprinted as a promotional card and awarded as a prize to anyone who participated in the Battle Road Autumn 2003 regional tournaments. Outside of Japan, it was awarded as a prize to those who attended the Pokémon e-League throughout March 2004. The standard prize bears no difference to the EX Ruby & Sapphire print, whereas winner versions have a gold foil "Winner" stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork. Jumbo versions of the winner print were also distributed as prizes, though were fewer in number due to cost reasons. It was later reprinted in the EX Emerald expansion.
Trivia
- This card is similar to the Berry card from the Neo Genesis set. This similarity is based on the fact that the Oran Berry in Generations III, IV and V has the same effect as the normal Berry in Generation II.
- The Japanese promotional print has a gold foil "Battle Road Autumn 2003" stamp in the bottom right corner of the card.
- Of the handful of jumbo winner cards produced during the 2003-2004 Pokémon League season, Oran Berry was the last to be produced due to their production cost.
