Welcome to Bulbapedia, Satoshi101! | |
By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:
| |
Thank you, and have a good time editing here! |
The preview button
When editing an article, it is always wise to preview your edits before saving the page. This prevents you from having to go back and save the page multiple times and thus causing server stress. Please remember this next time. Thank you. --ケンジのガール 00:25, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- Once more. Please remember to use the preview button. Saving repeatedly stresses the server and thus causes load problems. Thank you. --ケンジのガール 03:00, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- A third reminder to please use the preview button. I've seen you edit certain pages more than three times in a row. Please listen to what the people above and I are telling you. Have a good day. --Pokemaster97 21:23, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the tip. I am trying my best to be more efficient. Satoshi101 21:25, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Trivia
Please don't add trivia. We're an encyclopedia focusing on content, not trivia. Also, when an admin, or anyone for that matter, reverts you, you should ask before you revert because it may be considered edit warring which can lead you to be blocked for a short while. Thank you. --P S Yライダー☮ 02:57, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
To the Forums with Ye!
Hey just a friendly reminder that Talk Pages of articles are for discussing the articles themselves, not the subjects of the articles. The edits that you made to Dawn's Ambipom and Ash's Bayleef are less than helpful, and the exact reason why we have a Forums for comments like that. You can reach it by clicking on the Forums link on the Main Page of the site, reachable by clicking on the Bulbapedia logo in the top-left corner of the page. --ジェダイの騎士デジタルテレビ 02:25, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Other users use it the same way I do. Why should I have switch to forums? I perfectly understand, and what's more, users have even responded to my talk sections, which means that they know I'm doing it right. Satoshi101 02:33, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
- We are referring to discussions that you make regarding your personal opinions. Like "I wish Ash got to keep Aipom", is not a valid discussion. Also, it's not the place to start speculative conversations such as "Why didn't Ash use Bayleef in the Lily of the Valley conference when he called it there". The talk discussions are only to help improve the articles. Not to engage in meaningless discussions. That's why we have the forums. --ケンジのガール 02:48, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
You're correcting the wrong user. Someone put their opinions just like that. if it's not valid, then correct them, not me. Satoshi101 02:53, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
- So who discussing this before you? And these comments were made like four years ago when we didn't have the rule in place. And just because someone else is doing it doesn't mean you should jump in too. --ケンジのガール 03:00, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Look, I take everything here as a role model. Those comments shouldn't be still up. Alright, I admit that wishful thinking was a bit stupid, but why should someone's talk in that style be still up? It's a bad influence for new users. Satoshi101 14:07, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Deleting My Edits
A message to all who disapprove of my edits:
Look, I'm still new to this sort of stuff. There are users whom are bad role models. Please consider harassing them first. I am tired of getting critiqued first. As for those who are all like "No more comments! No more wishes!", these pages are outdated. Why do you even allow them still up? Bother them for a change! I do admit wishful thinking is kinda stupid to be saying out loud, sorry. But if others who have done it haven't gotten disapproved, User see, User do! Thank you. Satoshi101 00:31, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
Also, please consider referring to my responses to a section "The Forums With Ye!" another user started. Satoshi101 00:33, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
Episode titles
I've seen on this edit here and of few other of your edits, that you do not link to the episode corecttly, For example you should link to DP074, show Pika and Golath and the italicalize it, like so ''[[DP074|Pika and Golath]]'' Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 17:07, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
DP124
I asked you multiple times through the edit summaries to not change the text to say that Ambipom belongs to both Dawn and Ash. If you missed them then I'm telling you now. Ash does not have any ownership Ambipom since the trade happen. She solely belongs to Dawn. Just like Buizel isn't owned by both Ash and Dawn. Also, when you edited {{OP|Dawn|Ambipom}} to read as {{OP|Dawn's/Ash's|Ambipom}}, you broke the template. It is a link template and will link to what ever text is put there. There is no such page as "Dawn's/Ash's's Ambipom". Please try to avoid re-adding information that gets removed by an admin. If you have a concern about it you go to the talk page. Thank you. --ケンジのガール 03:35, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Gimmie a break! I just joined a few months ago! Anyway, the reason I put it as Dawn and Ash's is because when it was an Aipom, in the article Aipom (Pokémon), it is specifically listed as Ash's/Dawn's Aipom, NOT Dawn's or Ash's Aipom-there's no such page as that either! Also in the episode, we have a flashback (two, actually) with it as an Aipom. Just merge em', and nag someone else! Satoshi101 03:49, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
- The reason why Aipom's page says Ash/Dawn is because both Ash and Dawn owned Aipom. But Ash never owned her as an Ambipom because she evolved under Dawn's ownership. If Buizel ever evolved, we wouldn't say that it is Ash/Dawn's Floatzel.
- Behind James, Jessie who is still sulking over her lost and humiliation, reminisces on how she should have made
Ash'sAmbipom (who was still an Aipom) hers during the festival contest.
- Putting Ash's there is incorrect even if she did use Aipom when it was under Ash's command. She is still referring to the present day Ambipom. --ケンジのガール 04:07, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Whatever. You win. Happy now? Satoshi101 04:37, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Talk Page Comments
Removing talk page comments, including the initial welcome template, is prohibited per Bulbapedia's talk page policy. Please do not remove any comments in the future. If you wish to clean old comments away, you should archive your talk page instead. Thank you! ----Pokemaster97 02:14, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the tip, but how do you archive a talk page? I'm still new to this stuff. Satoshi101 02:01, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
- You have to click on the move tab and move it to the new title "User talk:Satoshi101/Archive 1". I don't recommend you archive it at this point as your talk page is too short. You should wait until you have 30 or more sections before archiving a talk page. --Pokemaster97 02:33, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
Talk:Sabrina's Haunter#Consensus
Please click on the link to check if you're happy with your decision. Thanks. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 10:09, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
I confirm my decision. Satoshi101 22:53, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
- You cannot vote for both Ash and Anime. You will have to choose. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 23:29, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
I have chosen anime. Satoshi101 23:40, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Vote tampering
Just because those users didn't explain the rationale for their votes, doesn't mean their votes are illegitimate. What you have been doing is considered vote tampering. If you continue to do so, you will be banned from the discussion entirely & your account may also be blocked temporarily. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 23:35, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- I have clearly stated that people who vote need to give a reason. Some didn't, and it might be also considered vote tampering (adding in random votes). Satoshi101 23:40, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- Clearly stated? I read the entire section, and not once do I see you stating that reasons had to be given to vote. You didn't start the vote anyway, you started the discussion, Toon Ganondorf started the tallied voting. Anyway, it has been requested that people give their rationale, and I have already addressed that:
- "Users have every right to simply vote without making a message on this talk page, especially if their rationale has already been stated more than once. This talk page is already getting incredibly bogged down with the exact same arguments repeated over and over. However, it would be ideal (but not required) if they at least mention what argument they agree with in their edit summary."
- It's far too late to change the voting requirements and such a decision isn't up to you. So, don't remove any more votes. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 00:08, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
- Please stop changing Poke.master's vote. I know it was misleading but when s/he changes the location of their vote, i'd take their word for it over any arguments submitted. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 06:47, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
Attitude
You dont warn people, the staff warns people. You are not staff and you need to relax. Your general attitude in regards to that whole situation is deplorable. -- MAGNEDETH 03:23, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
Moving pages
I would like to ask that you do not move any more pages. Moving them so suddenly like that causes problems. This was agreed upon by the other admins that if you move a page with no discussion about it first, you will be banned for an undetermined amount of time. Please keep this in mind. Thank you. --ケンジのガール 06:36, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
OK, just make sure you assure that to any other user who may have done the same. But I will move pages if it has been discussed and agreed upon. Satoshi101 00:20, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Hello
Hello Satoshi101, please do not create such pages without permission of the project leader that is Kenji-girl. You have been warned before. Once again, I would like to remind you that you do not "create" or "move" any page without a proper discussion with the fellow members, especially the staff members. Please take care of it next time, thank you. ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 20:40, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
- I am aware of the moving page rule, but I will keep that and the create page rule in mind. I have been blocked before and I would rather not again. Thanks. Satoshi101 20:43, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
- OK, I'll be sure to. Thanks! Satoshi101 20:51, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
Stop this
Why are you doing that? That is not needed. -- ✔Poké.geek™✔ 00:39, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Oh sorry about the character section. I just realized that it was uneccesary. Oh, and be sure to preview your edits so you don't have to keep revising them like you just did. サトシ 00:51, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- I know that but I was not feeling well after fighting against vandalism for my country. -- ✔Poké.geek™✔ 00:54, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Then I think you might need a Wikibreak. サトシ 00:59, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Edit warring and talk page
Hey, now I understand you often feel singled out and you want people to just accept your work, but this is completely unacceptable. You need to use talk pages instead of constantly reverting someone when they undo your work. Not everyone shares your views, and you need to negotiate with them. If things turn out not in your favor, you need to just move on and not make a scene or try spread the argument to other pages. Life is not always going to work the way you want it to. Deal with it, live with it, and stop edit warring. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 00:56, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, it's a bad habit of mine here [edit warring]. I am trying to follow the correct methods. サトシ 01:01, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
New signature
Hey guys just a reminder that as of December 26, 2011, my signature is now サトシ. Thanks. サトシ 22:04, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
For Future reference
If you think that a page should be moved, you can notify admins easier by adding the {{Move}} template. All you have to do is add {{Move|title of new page}} at the top of the page to suggest a move and it will add it's self to the Candidates for moving page. There's nothing wrong with contacting them manually, but this template will let others know that it's under debate for moving. Have a good day! --Pokemaster97 19:28, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you, I'll be sure to consider that in the future! サトシ 19:30, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
