May I ask you?
On the main series regions articles, why did you remove each region's location in correlation with the other regions in the intro of each article? I think that info should be there. ZMT123 04:50, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Because it's speculation. Aside from Kanto and Johto, which are connected, there's no official source for the locations of those regions in relation to one another. Werdnae (talk) 04:36, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
Actually, it is confirmed that Kanto and Johto are south and southwest (Johto being southwest) of Sinnoh. In the radio in HGSS, it refers to Sinnoh as "the great land to the north". ZMT123 04:50, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, I see, in Sinnoh Sound. I was not aware of that. I'll that back into the articles then, thanks. It is generally better to provide the source in cases like this, so I'll put it in the articles. --SnorlaxMonster 07:43, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Why did you delete my outdated section template in the sandbox? Mothim will rule all!-Wildgoose (and Dustox will too!) 15:14, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- You weren't doing anything there. You just pasted raw template code (minus the category). The sandbox is meant for testing templates; if you aren't testing anything, there is no need to use it. --SnorlaxMonster 15:15, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
TM34 (glitch Pokémon)
Please delete this, it doesn't exist. Thanks - unsigned comment from Rsrdaman (talk • contribs)
- Thanks, although your ALLCAPS edit summary drew my attention to it anyway. However, I'm going to expand the article of the actual glitch Pokémon at Hex EB in Yellow before I do delete it, since it seems to be using some of its info. --SnorlaxMonster 05:54, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you. When I saw that page I knew it was wrong immediately, data was from mixed sources, including the picture, I even tested it out on my Yellow version and knew that there was no possible way for it be be right. Sorry for being inactive for so long. I was sick as hell. Also, Is there anything recent to the Glitch area of Bulbapedia requireing any help with? --×Rsrdaman× 02:51, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
Speed
Which Pokémon moves first when they have both the same Speed and the priority of attacks? (Eg. Kyogre vs. Giratina, they have the same base Speed, so it's not that unlikely). Is it random? Marked +-+-+ 14:32, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Please unprotect this. It's not fair to limit a page to admins forever. Also, I'm sorry about forgetting admin clearance when moving it, but what you did (protect it forever) is quite extreme. Now I know I do not have the power to boss you around, but please reconsider what you just did. サトシ 22:14, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
- Snorlax only protected it against moving. You are still welcome to edit the article, just not rename it. As Snorlax said, the protection will be lifted once a consensus on the title has been reached. —darklordtrom 04:19, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
Rikako
When I was on the Rikako page, I noticed that she didn't have a dub name. Does Mrs. Mitchum count as a dub name as both her husband and daughter have Mitchum as the family name? PattyMan 23:50, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

Pokémon D/P/Pl Maps
Where did the overworld maps, like the ones in the info boxes of the Sinnoh Route 209 and Sinnoh Route 214 pages, come from? I'm guessing it was partially ripped with a specialized utility uploaded to a site. It could have been done by someone here that took the time to do a nice quality rip that was very time consuming but stopped after mid-way through. I tried looking on The Video Game Atlas and came up with nothing. I would like to see a replacement of that kind of quality for pages such as Sinnoh Route 210 and Sinnoh Route 213 and even pages such as Floaroma Meadow and Valor Lakefront. No more scans or snapshots.
If there is no way to know, I could help out any way I can. Just supply me with the right tools and I'll see what I can do!
I am playing through Pokémon Pearl Version for the first time just to correct for any errors along the way, using pages like that as a sort-of-guide (I have done a few edits along the way). --Wildgoosespeeder 05:18, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- The maps are a compilation of images of the route using manipulations to make them so that they are top down and trainerless. There isn't, as far as I'm aware, any utility for it. Just manual assembly of lots of screenshots. Werdnae (talk) 05:42, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- Heh, I thought through ROM hacking, you can easily get map data. Plus your explanation could have one complication to retain neatness. The game is angled, giving the world a 3D-ish look compared to previous Pokémon games. This means jaggedness could occur during reassembly. --Wildgoosespeeder 07:58, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- That's why you need to find a code to manipulate the display angle so that it's top down. Werdnae (talk) 08:10, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, they would get an oblique view of it. However, I also know a fair number of Sinnoh images are (or were) scans from game guides. However, these are not preferred to the usual method. --SnorlaxMonster 07:45, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
- OK, what is the code to disable the 3D? Is it Action Replay triggered or is it the "internal" cheat engine that DeSmuME uses? To save time, I would like the complete game save please, if possible! --Wildgoosespeeder 03:53, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry, I really have no idea. I've never done so myself. You're better off finding a map someone has uploaded, finding out who the uploader is and asking them. Also, can you please avoid talking about emulators here. --SnorlaxMonster 08:25, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
- Emulators are legal, ROMs are a controversial area. I understand that. US copyright law states somewhere you can have back-ups of media you own legal copies of as long as they stay personal, or something to that effect. Copyright law in other countries vary. If you don't want me talking about it further than that, OK then, no more out of me. --Wildgoosespeeder 19:28, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I understand that emulators by themselves are legal, but let me quote the first page of the Pokémon White manual:

Copying of any Nintendo game is illegal and is strictly prohibited by intellectual property laws. Back-up or archival copies are not authorised and are not necessary to protect your software.
- Essentially, they are specifically forbidding you from making copies of the game, even for personal use, even if it was not illegal without it. So you were implying that you would be running a Pokémon game on an emulator, which would require you to have an illegal ROM. Regardless, it's better to be cautious. --SnorlaxMonster 02:04, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
- They may hate it but legally they may have no power over certain cases no matter what they may say. They could just be saying that just to ward off most potential violators. It is really iffy of the real legality of it, meaning who has the authority to say what is legal and illegal. Like I said, it's a very controversial topic. Best advice I have is if you really want ROMs, just download the ones you already own legal copies of. Don't distribute because that is infringement. People tend to do the opposite of those two guidelines and that is definitely illegal. --Wildgoosespeeder 05:58, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Description template.
According to this, Amnesia description doesn't differ in FireRed/LeafGreen (and it has to be true, since this covers up in 100% with what you entered into Splash's description), but there is no RSEFRLG, only RSE and FRLG. Marked +-+-+ 12:42, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
Checked, it's true. Also, wtf GameFreak. ._.. Are you trying to make our life hard? Meh, okay... not changing between RSEFRLG is okay, since it's the same generation, and Gen IV/V is exception (since by that time there is enough time for description, and differs only in few cases like Aerial Ace), but this? This is pretty... strange, and happens to be true as well. Marked +-+-+ 13:06, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
Forgot to say that there are moves that have the same description for both Stadium games, like Absorb. Checking Bide reminded me of that (since that move seems to also have the same description in both Stadium games). Marked +-+-+ 11:43, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Isamu "Red" Akai

IIRC, we had a user (who wasn't in the group) that had a similar problem on a mobile device because they didn't let it fully load before they clicked the button, and it hadn't loaded the text in the edit pane. Do you know how the Egg Blackout Glitch is triggered?
Hi. You seem to be really nice and helpful with the games. I don't mind that help at all. About 2 months ago I was attempting a glitch with Pokemon Gold and Silver or Silver and Crystal as Gold doesn't work and it was the egg blackout glitch. It wouldn't let me trade the egg during a link trade as I only had one Pokemon. Then I thought the glitch was triggered by beating Falkner, then receiving an Egg with only Cyndaquil or Totodile, very hard to beat Violet gym with Chikorita and still no infinite blackout glitch. Do you know any other methods to get it to work? Since I'm not actually playing my gen 2 games. I'm experimenting with them now. (MichaelXD 20:06, 3 February 2012 (UTC))
- This is where it came from. Have you tried obtaining an egg, then entering a trade with just your starter and an egg, then trading the starter for an egg? It should work, since you have two Pokémon. Or is that what you were saying you already did? --SnorlaxMonster 02:29, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
So I need to beat the gym leader in more than one version first, get the egg and only have my starter and egg in one version while in another version, I can have more than one Pokemon in the party? I asked this on Yahoo Answers and only got an answer that was chatting about something dumb instead of acknowledging the question. Also is the Brock Skip Gym side effects real or the side effects of using a cheating device? I got dumb answers for that too. (MichaelXD 11:35, 4 February 2012 (UTC))
- I have no guarantee that it works, it is just my guess of how it might work. Any information you can add about that glitch is appreciated.
- As for the Brock Gym skip, this video shows the infinite walk down. I've watched the whole run before (it's pretty cool), and they did not use any cheats, only glitches (as is mentioned in the credits). --SnorlaxMonster 12:21, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
I was actually trying to do this instead.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIEnl3wz6a8
The game kept freezing on me and it only works on Red or Blue. No one answered and they assumed that just because I was trying to get a glitch to work, it's the same as cheating in a video game. Do I do this at school too? No it's not and thanks to those jerks, it's none of their business what I do at school. It's one I've been having a problem with for a while. (MichaelXD 14:47, 4 February 2012 (UTC))
- There are glitches that sometimes freeze the game, sometimes don't. There are also sometimes variations between emulators and real games when it comes to glitches, but this is rare. --SnorlaxMonster 15:15, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
No it doesn't work. I keep getting "Too bad. The trade was canceled." I now have eggs on 2 games instead of just one and I did all my other trading first before attempting this glitch. (MichaelXD 19:51, 4 February 2012 (UTC))
- I'm starting to think that that glitch might require cheating so that you start off with an egg. If you can't replicate it, please remove it and add a note to the talk page. --SnorlaxMonster 04:42, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Hi
Do you have skype? I'd like to be able to talk about Pomeg sub-glitches in Gen IV without having to leave a huge trail of messages that take a long time between replies, if possible ;)
Thanks, OwnageMuch 09:42, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Well, list all examples if you can. If I have to remind you, only Arceus are able to obtain Judgement, and lots of Pokemon can learn Snarl though TM. Your agrument is invalid, if I'm correct. So please spare me while I undo your undo. --Acellutor 04:19, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
- Snarl is currently only available via the event Zoroark. While there is a TM for it, it cannot be obtained yet, and will only be obtainable via event. Judgment applies because Arceus is event-exclusive, so so is Judgment. This also goes for all event Pokémon's signature moves such as Dark Void and Psycho Boost. --SnorlaxMonster 04:42, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Wayward Cave
To keep consistancy, why do pages like Eterna Forest, Iron Island, and Stark Mountain have the partner data included? --Wildgoosespeeder 07:17, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- I think you misunderstood. I only moved the data to a different place on the page. I was saying that Platinum data wasn't missing because it was already on Mira's page, and added it. Partner data should be there. --SnorlaxMonster 10:37, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- For more consistency, should it be moved to the top of the page like the others are in the pages mentioned? --Wildgoosespeeder 18:33, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think Trainers belong under "Geography". Trainers that join you for just one battle rather than follow you are generally in the Trainers section, so I don't see why followers shouldn't be either. --SnorlaxMonster 06:33, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
- These trainers you don't face in the areas you team up with them. Plus the other three pages are like that so why not include Wayward Cave with the same kind of deal? --Wildgoosespeeder 07:22, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
- Well, they use the Trainer backsprite to show that you don't battle them but they battle alongside you. However, I think the best alternative is to create a new section on the pages, rather than being a subsection of "Geography" or "Trainers". So just "==Mira==". I was suggesting that we change all five pages (I don't know which one of the stat Trainers you are forgetting, probably Marley). --SnorlaxMonster 07:34, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
- It is my first playthrough Pokemon Pearl Version. I am both exploring a new storyline of Sinnoh and doublechecking Bulbapedia pages for accuracy. I had no idea there were five team-ups in the game, there was even have a fan term to them, and all cover one of all six stats except special defense. I wouldn't have picked up on that. Anyways, where would be a good logical place to put each stat trainer? How about between the geography and items sections? --Wildgoosespeeder 22:50, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

Image placement
Hi, I've uploaded the images of most of the rooms in Generation III ... at least all four main E4 members are complete. However, Sidney's section looks somewhat wonky (a lot of whitespace) because of the infobox pushing it down. Do you know how I can fix this, or would you like to do it instead? Haxorus 02:25, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
- There's only only so much that can be don and keep it looking nice. I reduced the size of the images (there were a bit big anyway) and added some clears. Whitespace isn't always a bad thing, especially compared to infobox interference. --SnorlaxMonster 07:02, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
- Seen your changes, it looks much nicer now. Thanks a million! :) Haxorus 08:06, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Question about Snarl
Bringing up something posted on Zorua's talk page, since Snarl is currently only available by breeding, should it be added to the breeding learnlists? (I had added a breeding list for it on Snarl's page a while back.) XVuvuzela2010X 23:24, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw that earlier. My personal preference would be to add a note like * next to Snarl on the TM learnlist for all Pokémon that can learn it via breeding (chain breed-only Pokémon would need more detailed notes). Pokémon like Sableye who cannot learn it at all might deserve a note saying that they cannot currently know it due to the TM being unreleased. --SnorlaxMonster 23:47, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Mauville Game Corner table thanks and question
Thanks for organizing the reels list into a table! I'm thinking about whether I should reverse the rows, since the order is now visually upside-down from the reels in the game...but it might be harder to use that way? I'm guess I'm not sure if people will read Lotad above Azurill as "Lotad literally above Azurill" or "Lotad appears before Azurill".... I guess probably the former, but maybe not. Kyurem
Also, about the trivia on Kyurem with the "extra data placeholder" it has, is it just empty, waiting for input? Because from what i've seen, it looks as though you could merge Kyurem and Zekrom/Reshiram. Would that make sense. Or more specifically, is that possible?--×Rsrdaman× 01:22, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Every Pokémon has one byte of data stating how many forms it has. For example, Meloetta has "2" and Rotom has "6" (Pt on). Pokémon that have no forms have the number set to "0" (e.g. Bulbasaur). Pokmon that have no forms, but later gain them have it set to "1" (e.g. DP Rotom, DP Giratina, DP Shaymin, BW Kyurem). I don't think merging makes any sense (if merging were going to be a mechanic, we would have seen it in Magneton and Slowbro by now). I think the Dark Stone will turn it into Black Kyurem, the White Stone into White Kyurem, and the God Stone into Normal Kyurem; however, this is just speculation. Anyway, if you have any further non-Bulbapedia-related topics you would like to discuss with me (such as the Missingno. video you added or speculating Kyurem's mechanic for changing forms), please use the forums. Also, I'm not sure why you had all those boxes in your message - either you used a character set I don't have installed or something encoded wrong.--SnorlaxMonster 09:14, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I read about that, Its just because the new forms are the two Pokémon together its odd that they wouldnt merge...
- Oh, and about the boxes, its just no-space small characters that over-lap each other.
- Last question: Can you still receive an award (i.e. golden mew) even if you only do work in a sub-project, like GlitchDex?--×Rsrdaman× 23:54, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
Unacceptable Username
For the user Assofababoon. --Pokemaster97 16:24, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- It's unacceptable because it has inappropriate language in the username. The Username policy clearly states that any usernames with inappropriate language in it will be immediately blocked. Pokedex493 19:19, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Chain Breeding
Good afternoon! There is this user named Akurochan who keeps removing from the list of chain breeding of several Pokémon. I went on his talk page and saw this post in which he said "Just removed chain breeding father list, as they are just make the table too long". Is it ok ? I wanted to revert the changes but I thought it is better if I ask an admin.----DJWolfy 09:16, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
- Only the most direct fathers are to be listed. Otherwise the lists would get extremely large and become difficult to read. Werdnae (talk) 20:05, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
Bugmenot
I came across this user a while ago and it struck me as suspicious because I knew about a website with the same name. I went onto the website and looked, and apparently somebody made an account on here with that username so anyone can use it. Is this against the rules? If so can this user be blocked? Pokedex493 19:50, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
- Most definitely not acceptable. If you see any more accounts like that, please report them. Werdnae (talk) 03:48, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- I will. Thanks for taking care of it. Pokedex493 03:57, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
BW animated sprites
Hi, would it be all right if I uploaded the animated sprites for Black and White in .gif format until someone can come along and upload permanent .png versions instead? I'm aware not many people would appreciate the crummy 256-color quality .gif images offer, but they're the only alternative until the whole set of 649 animated Generation V sprites can be drawn up in .png format. What do you think? Should I go for it, or simply leave them all unanimated as they are? Thanks for your time! Haxorus 04:23, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
- Due to the way templates are set up, they default to png, so even if the animated sprites were uploaded as gifs, they wouldn't be used anywhere. --SnorlaxMonster 11:38, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- The Archives to-do-list links to a gif to png converter, which you could try out. Though what dimensions are your sprites? All of our BW sprites are 96px by 96px. I would upload some of the spites I have, but I wouldnt know how to increase the white/transparent space to 96px without losing the animation. XVuvuzela2010X 00:36, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Those glitch sprites and dex'es
Well, I was going to switch all of the glitch sprites and dex'es over to their proper naming systems*, but it said there was a permission error on the archives page. I guess that means that regular users can't move anything? Is it possible to let a specific user do that?--×Rsrdaman× 04:53, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, only Archives admins can move files. It is possible to give temporary powers, but we generally only do this at times where lots of files need to be moved quickly (e.g. BW English release, backsprite renaming). --SnorlaxMonster 11:37, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
Wait a minute
So you told me before that the Gen I glitch Pokémon 251-254 can be obtained. But 251 is obtainable by Celebi? Also the other three are obtainable by the other ?????. Am i missing something?--×Rsrdaman× 23:39, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- There are issues in trading the Pokémon from Generation II to I. If you trade Celebi or a glitch Pokémon (????? and glitch Egg) with index 000 or 252-255, the resulting Pokémon in Generation I is not constant, and seemingly random. There must be something it is determined by, but at present that is unknown. I guess cloning a Pokémon and modifying various aspects of each clone with a cheating device individually and comparing the resulting Pokémon could indicate what determines it though. --SnorlaxMonster 05:57, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, ok. I can understand that for the glitch Pokémon. But the Celebi still confuses me. Why would it be different from any other Pokémon? I will check this out--×Rsrdaman× 13:26, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
- Here's what the hex values look like. For whatever reason, 000 and 251-255 aren't defined (I guess those values refer to other things). As for why Celebi doesn't have a proper index number conversion, I have no idea. --SnorlaxMonster 22:22, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

I don't think I've ever seen a page [need this] one. Frozen Fennec 23:46, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

help spam
Hi, I'm Wikinezka's Administrator. On the Wikinezka there is problem associated with spam. I saw that also appeared on Bulbapedia. But you deal with it quickly. Can you advise me how can I get rid of this problem? Pawel10s 17:16, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
- Well, we have more active admins, so we can delete them very quickly. Also, on Bulbapedia users who aren't autoconfirmed can't create pages, so we don't get bots creating spam pages; however, because you are smaller, you probably can't really afford to prevent that. You could prevent non-autoconfirmed users from making userpages (something we do too). I've seen smaller wikis set up blacklists, so you can't include words like "viagra" in pages (since this is a very common spammer word). --SnorlaxMonster 08:24, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

Protection
Can a user protect his own page or talk page or only an admin is allowed to do so ?----DJWolfy 19:18, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Protection means that only admins can edit the page. Therefore, only admins can do so. Also, why would you want your user page and talk page protected? ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:30, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- My archived talk page of course.----DJWolfy 19:32, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Well, the only reason it will be protected is if there is a history of spam and vandalism on your archive, which there most likely is not. Therefore, there is no reason to protect it so it most likely will not be protected. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:35, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- @Solar Dragon. If a user requests for an archive to be protected it can be protected. It doesn't have to be spammed to be protected. I requested my talk archives to be protected at the autoconfirmed level and there was no problem doing that, so there should be no problem doing it for DJWolfy. Remember some people just prefer to have their archives protected. --Pokemaster97 19:39, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Talk page archives are usually protected, just sop nobody gets confused and tries to add a section to it. As for protection, only admins have the protect option. If you want to request your talk archive be protected, you can just add
{{protect}}
to the top and an admin will get to it (or contact one of us directly). DJWolfy, I've protected your talk page archive to auto-confirmed-only (so you can still touch it), as requested. I'd rather not do admin-only as that means even you can't touch it, but if you would prefer that, let me know. --SnorlaxMonster 05:51, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

Pics of Oreburgh Gym etc: Advice needed
I'm coming to you here as I've been told you're the Bulbagarden Archives administrator. As one can see here, I recently added a full map of the gym's interior right next to a smaller screenshot, which I wasn't sure what to do with (which was why I left it there). Should I leave it or remove it outright (it already links to five other pages)? What do you think?
Also, a similar issue I'd like your help tackling is the image of the giant clock in Eterna Gym, which appears to have been set up as an image specifically that of the clock itself and nothing else. However, I would instead like to put up a full map of the gym's interior as it appears in Platinum, instead of a screenshot that's been cropped around the clock. Should I upload it as a brand-new file or upload it to replace the current version?
Many thanks. Cheers, Haxorus 05:54, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, the full image can replace the partial one. It appears that some Gyms/Gym Leaders have that, and some don't, but I think it is just unnecessary. I'll deal with the replacement/removal on other pages.
- The image should be replaced with the full Gym screenshot. I'm assuming that the person who took the screenshot was using the regular DS screen size and decided that the clock would be the best thing to take a shot of. Replace the current one with.
- Also, the way you phrased the opening paragraph made it sound like I'm the only Archives Administrator. I am one, but I'm not the only one. Anyway, I really appreciate the work you're doing to get those map screenshots; we've needed them for a long time, but never had anybody who both knew how to do them and had the time and initiative to actually upload them. --SnorlaxMonster 06:36, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
- Why, thank you :-) I do my best. About the admin thing, I did suspect you weren't the only one, but I went to you because of this, and also because I've sought advice from you before. That's pretty much why.
- Per your advice, I have now replaced the image. Thanks. I'm also working on images for the other Sinnoh Gyms (Canalave will probably need a layout gallery à la Galactic HQ, but other than that, it's pretty much good to go). Cheers, Haxorus 09:50, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
- On another thought, should I instead create a "between-versions" gallery for the gyms in Eterna, Veilstone, Hearthome, and Snowpoint like the one that's already present on, say, Mossdeep Gym? Cheers, Haxorus 09:55, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, a gallery like that would be good where there is a difference between versions. --SnorlaxMonster 11:51, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
- I think it would look much better if they were side by side instead of stacking onto each other. It makes the page look long and awkward.--ForceFire 12:57, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds reasonable to me. Just as long as there is only one floor/room. --SnorlaxMonster 12:58, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
- Incidentially, I noticed your changes to the Pastoria and Sunyshore Gyms. My apologies and thanks for the cleanup. However, that does bring me to a new issue – how do you suggest I produce the layout for buildings whose number of floors differ between versions, such as the Global Terminal, which jumped from one floor in DP to 4 in PtHGSS? I'm planning to produce proper floor-by-floor maps to replace the ones currently existing and then follow up with a layout table. Cheers, Haxorus 01:42, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Genesect not in the Pokédex?
My brother recently got an Action Replay for the DS and used a code to get a Genesect early. He told me that when he checked his Pokédex, Genesect wasn't listed anywhere. Can I get some insight on that and is it trivia-worthy? Pokedex493 17:24, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Did he have the National Pokédex? --SnorlaxMonster 07:50, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yes he did. For a few months now. Pokedex493 18:54, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
- My guess is that rather than hacking a wild one, he turned a Pokémon he already had into one, or replaced an empty party/box slot with one. Since the Pokédex only triggers when obtaining the Pokémon, this would cause that. If he were to trade it to another game and then back again, it should appear in the Pokédex. --SnorlaxMonster 01:17, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Anotherbluejay&jimmy osirus
are writing un-sourced information and vandalism, respectively. Warn the former, and ban the latter, whose name I can't spell XD. Charlize de Rose and Herblalfusion are doing the same thing as Anotherbluejay. Herbalfusion got away with his un-sourced material and Usertalk Customizations in TTEchidna's day, but Magnedeth has a policy against such. Permablock Herbalfusion, and warn Charlize de Rose and Anotherbluejay not to imitate her.--Muk-a-matic-Maketh the Muk go round... 03:27, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- Please calm down. While I do appreciate you alerting me of people breaking the rules, I do not appreciate you telling me how do to my job by telling me the type of punishment to give them. Jimmyo.sirus does deserve a warning first, but if he continues will receive a block. Anotherbluejay can receive a warning for adding information from the anime and using one specimen to give the behavior of the whole species, as can Charlize de Rose. Herblalfusion doesn't appear to have done it for a while, so there is no need to warn him right now. As for Herblalfusion's talk page, I personally don't like the non-chronological layout, but it is not currently breaking any rules, so permabanning for that is just outrageous. However, we are already planning to discuss modifying the talk page policy after MAGNEDETH gets back. --SnorlaxMonster 03:59, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
I'm sorry. I meant to say please. It slipped my mind. I didn't mean to be so intimidating. If you miss one word in key places, it messes up the whole statement. I meant to ask, and look what happened. Sorry.--Muk-a-matic-Maketh the Muk go round... 04:04, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Good evening
Hello, SnorlaxMonster.
I was wondering what you think of this. I know you've seen this before and I have asked for your permission to use your template from your Pre-Release Generation 5 article. I was wondering if there's anyway we could improve the page and then set it up as a real article. I am shocked we STILL do not have articles for Pre-Released Pokemon for each of the generations (at least from 3rd to 5th generations). Han Ji-Wan 03:43, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- If we could combine our pages, we might have a case to mainspace it. I'll get around to it soon. Anyway, I do know of people who specialize in beta content, and I'll see if they can help us out with Gen II release order (although this will be quite approximate; however, the Official Pokémon Handbook #2 certainly helps). In the meantime, maybe add some links to the dates you have? I know they might not be Bulbanews articles, but for times when it says "leaked magazine scan", if you could get that scan, it would be great, etc. The reason I made the Gen V one when I did was because I knew that even if we didn't want it at the time, it would be a lot easier than trying to find it out later (like what we're trying to do with Gens II-IV). Don't even bother with Gen I though; that information is gone, I'm sure of it. --SnorlaxMonster 07:23, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- Great news! I found all of the dates thanks to Serebii.net. I'm not sure if it is okay to link to Serebii. If it is, do I just link to the general main page of Serebii or the exact page where I got the information? I will try my best to find some scans to go along with the reveals, although some of the scans are missing on Serebii. Han Ji-Wan 14:12, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- Probably better if you don't link to Serebii. Not everything needs a link, but if some stuff could have some, that would be great. Don't forget that Bulbanews has most—if not all—of the Gen IV releases anyway, so you can link there. Take a look through Category:New Pokémon (you'll probably want to look at specific months or years, not the whole thing). --SnorlaxMonster 11:04, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Question
Are you sure ? I mean, estethically looks so much better. Plus there have been non-end pointed sentences before I started editing the remaining ones.----DJWolfy 07:20, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
- There is kind of a mix of both, and I've asked Kenji-girl about it before, and we agreed that it's better to not terminate the sentence with punctuation within episode titles. --SnorlaxMonster 08:07, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ok I'm a bit confused, from what you said I understood that it is ok to remove the punctuation when there is a question or exclamation mark ? Correct me if I'm wrong.----DJWolfy 09:54, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
- No, I said the opposite. That punctuation like question and exclamation marks within episode titles do not affect the rest of the sentence, so if the title is at the end of a sentence and ends in a question or exclamation mark, you still need a period (or question or exclamation mark theoretically, but I don't think this would happen) to terminate the sentence. --SnorlaxMonster 09:59, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

Wi-fi Plaza glitch
Hi, it's TheOriginalOne! Remember me, from the GB Sounds glitch? Well, looks like I have discovered another one. I understand it can be difficult for you to exploit it, as you'll have to do it at exactly the right moment: I've just managed to do it 2 or 3 times, so that it may be a need for research. You'll have to do the following:
- Go to the Wi-fi Plaza;
- Run in the direction of a player which is about to warp out of that place.
If you manage to reach him/her ~1 second before he/she warps out, the two graphics will be mixed until the player warps out.
YES, I have a fine Internet connection. Please try it and PM me the results of this weird glitch. TheOriginalOne 11:30, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
- I tried it, but it is really hard to get the timing right, and it is really just connection lag, not so much a glitch. --SnorlaxMonster 10:38, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Glitch Pokémon species images
Can we have something for that in the Glitchdex naming conventions? Some Glitchémon like 7PkMn 'v and gJ1 have really long and impossible-to-type species, it would make things a lot faster and easier for me.--×Rsrdaman× 23:10, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

- Instead of attacking, Piplup froze and fell down after Fake Out was used. What would that sound like to you? It's a tough call. 태권도 합기도 12:27, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- I haven't actually seen the episode being Japanese-only. In the Chimchar one, Brock actually commented on the fact that it was flinching. Did a similar thing happen here? But that certainly does sound like flinching. --SnorlaxMonster 12:29, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

New article
Hey, just wanted to tell u that there is a Mareep in one if the pics so you should probably add that to the article about Black and White 2.RBK 05:43, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
Gym Leader
How long will the page still be locked ? ----DJWolfy 14:46, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- Until we get more info on the gym leaders in BW2. (How many are the same, etc.) If there's something that needs to be changed on the page in the mean time, feel free to leave an edit request on the talk page. Unfortunately, with early info too many people add speculation if it isn't protected. Werdnae (talk) 20:42, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
Brock in SuperEffective
I added the stuff to his page because I was getting the page up-to-date. It looks like Brock's appearance in the webcomic wasn't needed after all. The good news is that the images of his two Pokémon from the webcomic weren't uploaded. PattyMan 17:27, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, we only put official stuff on pages other than the page for the fanwork itself. We don't need fanworks in "appearances" sections. --SnorlaxMonster 17:31, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Pokedex
It's a bit off-topic but since Project Pokédex focuses on all the Pokémon shouldn't there be a leader ? At least this way, we the participants could discuss with him/her about the incomplete Biology sections. ----DJWolfy 18:35, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- Because of how central Project Pokédex is to the wiki itself the leader of that project is the Editorial Board. Any significant changes to the species articles should be suggested to a member of staff, and discussed among staff, including the Editorial Board before any decision is made. EP040 & 038
Hi, I'd like to know why you removed my edits, also, I'm wondering why the word Encore is omitted from the episode's title, as I have seen many converging sources that list it as an encore special, including http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%9D%E3%82%B1%E3%83%A2%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A7%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF and http://pokeani.s47.xrea.com/s-title/subtitle-special.html Thanks --Whadaheck 19:57, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. Turns out we'd just been missing the "encore" part of the title. I don't know if it was never aired because of this though. --SnorlaxMonster 03:13, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
Actually
It was more like a forced appearance, since it didn't wandered around the land, it only appeared as being cropped from a clip and added to a moving green background along with others... Plus as I've discussed with Kenji, photos, engravings and this kind of appearances don't count as debuts, only as appearances, since it's not like a physical appearance. M07's debut section also doesn't list it. Hope this clarified. I won't modify it untill you agree.----DJWolfy 13:49, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- I haven't seen the movie, I was just following the page. Sounds like it shouldn't count as a debut then (although I think it should have some kind of note). --SnorlaxMonster 13:52, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know... it's not the only Pokémon to do so (silhouette of Groudon in AG036, silhouettes of both Palkia and Dialga before their real appearance)*.----DJWolfy 14:03, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- I meant a note on the episode/movie page itself. --SnorlaxMonster 14:10, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- Beats me, you could add it at the bottom I guess, I mean, that's what the Note section is for. But it should also be added for similar situations. Anyhow, I wonder.. Why isn't there a Manual of style for Anime and Games and only for Manga ? I mean, let us be sincere, the games and the anime are the foundation of Pokémon.----DJWolfy 14:37, 26 April 2012 (UTC)

Oh right, but why weren't the two vacant places occupied by now ?----DJWolfy 19:02, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- Well, Werd was promoted not that long ago, and Maverick Nate essentially still acts as the head of TCG. We tend to handle promotions all at once, so I assume it would be done when we hire a new batch of JAs. --SnorlaxMonster 08:29, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
- And when is that going to take place ?----DJWolfy 11:26, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
- When we feel it is time for a staff drive; there is a large number of people we would like to promote; or we enter wiki lockdown for a new main series release and temp-promote some regular users to edit while the wiki is locked, then some keep their powers and become staff members*. We haven't actually discussed this, this is just my observations of traditions. --SnorlaxMonster 11:33, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Can i vote?
I'm newbie here. I joined a few weeks ago and I'd like to know if I can support a featured article candidate? Can u pls help me?Auraguardian197 07:50, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
- Technically yes, but we feature articles anymore due to the new system you see on the main page, where we just summarize a random page. --SnorlaxMonster 08:29, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
Biology
I've got quite a few Pokémon pre-Generation V who are missing some parts on their biology. I've completed some of them but I don't know how to complete the rest. Should I write them ? Maybe you'll give me some tips. ----DJWolfy 19:48, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
- Nevermind that, I'll be inactive for a couple of days so here is the list if you want to take a look.
If you have the time and the desire for it, these are the incomplete pre-G5 pkmn. About Kirlia and Gardevoir's habitat, I thought it should be take in consideration that unlike its pre-evo Ralts, they do like to stay in the company of humans, since it is mentioned in Ralts' habitat. Well, catch you in a few days ! ----DJWolfy 01:26, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
- I also included the direct links to the incomplete sections.----DJWolfy 01:27, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Roaming Legendaries
Could it just be my games then? Every time I've played them, all I've had luck with is those two routes, and they would always appear after a lengthy time. 태권도 합기도 10:57, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
- They will always appear on any route after a long time. The advantage of the two routes you listed is that they are directly connected to other routes, so you're not going in a building and unable to encounter them for one of the two stages. --SnorlaxMonster 11:00, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
doubt about shinies.
I just read the article about shiny pokemon and I have a doubt. It says the chance of encountering a shiny pokemon (except red gyarados) in Gen 2 is 1/8192. So,is the article suggesting that shiny pokemon are comparatively easier to obtain in other generations?Auraguardian197 15:18, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
- The chance is also listed as 1/8192 in other generations too. Although in Generation II it can become more likely when breeding tactically in Generation II, and using the Masuda method in Generation IV and V can also increase the odds. --SnorlaxMonster 15:57, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Statement
Why would he write something like this? I doubt it would get him nowhere as he already received one for continuously editing tournament-related articles. PattyMan 16:02, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
- Not really sure. I just noticed that he sent me an email, and he says he doesn't understand talk pages, so I've tried to help him out. --SnorlaxMonster 16:27, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
will it work?
I'm playing Black and I have tornadus. I'm planning to use a cheat to catch thundurus. Can i use this thundurus to catch Landorus????? Pls help.Auraguardian197 07:28, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
Flying-types and Dig
I'm not really sure who to bring this question to, but I feel like you might have an answer for me. I've recently started playing my Blue Version again, and while grinding my Pokemon in Diglett's Cave, I've noticed that when I use my Butterfree and Golbat, and the Diglett use Dig, it always says the attack misses, instead of 'It doesn't affect Buterfree...' like it does with my Pidgeotto and Gyarados. Do you know if this is mentioned anywhere, or if it should be stated in a Trivia somewhere? Littlmiget123 13:30, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
- See here. It is just Generation I outputting dodgy messages. The effect is still the same. However, before the article didn't say that if it was not very effective against one of the types while the other is immune it would also say that it missed (as is the case with Butterfree), so you actually helped expand it too. --SnorlaxMonster 13:37, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, okay. Wow, I didn't know there was a page dedicated to the glitches. XD I looked everywhere I could to see if it was in the Trivia section of anywhere, but I wasn't sure if it was somewhere else. Thanks for answering my question, and I'm glad I could help expand it slightly. ^-^ Littlmiget123 13:47, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
- It's also on type chart (which is where I moved it from); if it eventually gets merged into type, that info will presumably be moved to there. There's actually quite a lot of pages for glitches, but I made these lists of glitches by generation to make the glitches nice and organised. I assume you knew about Project GlitchDex though, and just didn't realize these pages existed? --SnorlaxMonster 14:03, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
- Of course, but I thought all the glitches were on one collective page instead of a whole page dedicated to the glitches from Generation I. But, then again, I guess that it would be a bit crowded if all the glitches from every game was on one page. Thanks for adding my information onto the pages. I'll be honest, I wouldn't really know how to incorporate my information into the article. XD But your way works just fine. ^-^ Littlmiget123 14:32, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
- They actually used to be all on one page under the name list of minor glitches, but it got so long and disorganized it was broken up into each generation and spin-off glitches. Anyway, since you brought my attention to the glitch, I found the full list of the order it prioritizes the effectivenesses, so I've added the table to the page. --SnorlaxMonster 14:52, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
