The Chroma Highlands is a mountainous area located in the northeast of the Almia region. The land is harsh and ravaged. When the player and Keith first arrive, they find Team Dim Sun creating a dark mist by using Murkrow hypnotized by a Miniremo. The dark mist damages a ranger's Capture Styler, and can be cleared through the use of the Demist Field move. The entrance to Chroma Ruins can be found at the top of the Highlands.
The Altru Ruins is a long-forgotten building northeast of Chroma Highlands. it can be accessed by going through Chroma Ruins. It is here where Doyle M. Hall, the founder of Altur Inc., began prospecting for oil. Brighton Hall left his diary here as well, only to found by the Ranger several years later. Ponte spends most of his time here after quitting Team Dim Sun. He sets off to Vientown after a quest, leaving this place empty.

I'd like you to bring back the Pokémon I want to use as a model for my wood carving. I can see it now: a big, proud, red nose! An impressive moustache! One lives in the Chroma ruins I've heard.

Chroma Ruins is very similar to Stonehenge: both are mysterious rocks and nobody knows when or why they were created.
