Origin
It is based on a mole. The shape of its arms could come from shovels.
Name origin
Drilbur might be a combination of drill and burrow. The word Excalibur may also be included or the word 'bur', a kind of rotary cutting implement with different kind shaped heads due to Drillbur's digging technique.
Mogurew may be a combination of 土竜 mogura (mole) and screw. Notably, an alternate reading of 竜 is ryū (dragon).
