Persian error
When Meowth changes the Persian statue into Meowth, it exclaims, "Nyath", the Japanese name for Meowth.
- For me it seems like Meowth says "nice", not "nyath" in that scene. Or am I wrong? Chilist 02:08, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Language barrier error?
When Jessie is convincing Meowth to enter the contest, she says to Meowth that "The secret to winning ribbons is to know what the judges and audience want and to adjust your performance to match that. A Pokemon who understands human speech? You were practically born to win contests!" This seems to imply that other Pokemon cannot understand human speech, but this is contradictory to just about any other interaction between human and Pokemon in the show. Maybe this should be added to Trivia or Errors? Bobby Stiles 01:38, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- This is mentioned frequently throughout pretty much every canon. I get the feeling Pokemon know the meaning of certain words, but can't truely comprehend the connections between them. (Think of it similar to someone that has learned a lot of theoretical knowledge about a language but has never used it practically.) Having a strong bond with a Pokemon seems to make it easier, though. Either way, it's mentioned far too frequently in the Pokemon universe to mention here.
