Something about the Trivia bit

I don't get the part which says that Crasher Wake was the first Gym Leader he battled and won without any of his Pokémon fainting. Is this trivia for Sinnoh only? If it's not, then we should consider Ash's battle against Wattson. JirachiWishmaker0802 18:56 08 August 2008 (UTC)

That really didn't count because Pikachu was all powered up thanks to that robotic Raikou. He didn't win fairly. Wattson just let him get away with it because he inspired him to be a Gym leader again. --☆ケンジガール 11:10, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Does the following make no sense to anyone else?

• Since Pokémon Platinum switched up the order of the Gyms encountered, Crasher Wake is technically the fourth Gym Leader in the anime to be challenged by Ash out of sequence with the games, though Ash encountered him in the correct sequence according to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

Games is in the general sense. Out of all the Pokémon games to have been released, Crasher Wake is the fourth gym leader to be battled out of order. According to Platinum, Ash is not following the usual order, but not if we are considering Diamond and Pearl. Jmath 16:11, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Why would Ash be in Platinum order? Platinum only just came out. The anime has been follwing the Diamond and Pearl order; Platinum having it's own order shouldn't invalidate that. As Ash is going the Generation IV route (which includes, yes, Platinum), then, following Platinum order or not, he's still out of order. Yes, he may not have been Platinum Order, but he isn't D/P order, either (otherwise, he, Dawn, and Brock would have fought Team Galactic sooner than later..) It deals with the D/P games, though, so that still counts for something. Besides, in D/P, Roark doesn't even OWN a Rampardos (yes, he owns Cranidos, but that's not the same thing.), which is closer to the example I'm trying to get at. Besides, it still counts anyways. It's not correct, Kuki. The anime is not suddenly out-of-order. Platinum is out-of-order and calling the anime out-of-order because of Platinum is all kinds of unrealistic and unfair. By the time Platinum came out, both Maylene and Crasher Wake had already been and gone. Ash fought them in the order that was presented: The one from Diamond and Pearl. He's not supposed to be in Platinum order.

With the release of Pokémon Platinum, the order of three Gym battles in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl are now shifted: instead of being fourth, Creasher Wake is now fifth in the line-up. Had Ash fought Fantina previous to Maylene, he would have inadvertently gone out of order compared to the DP line-up, but in order for the Platinum line-up. Currently, Ash battled the three shifted Gym Leaders in the order designated by DP, as Platinum was not released until after Ash fought Crasher Wake, but before Fantina.

Japanese name

Is there a specific reason why kanji is used over hiragana? (仮面 vs　かめん) For example, is it shown that way in other media (anime, magazines, merchandise, etc) besides the games? I suppose it doesn't really matter all that much in the end, but I just thought it would be odd considering that it would be hiragana in-game. platinatina 00:57, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

New Info?

I have a observation regarding the moves of Crasher Wake's Pokemon on Platinum. Through using several different parties of trying to beat Wake, I've seen his Gyarados use, not four moves, but five different moves. These moves were: Brine, Waterfall, Bite, Twister, AND THRASH. I'm assuming this happens with other important characters' Pokemon too. Has any other individual seen this happen? How could we edit this to make it more accurate? (I made this account specifically for this, and I assume you can only put 4 moves in for editing a Pokemon's moves.)--Totojolt (talk) 00:25, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
