Misty's Gyarados
Gyarados (Japanese: ????? Gyarados) was Misty's tenth Pokémon, she adopted it in the Kanto region, after she returned home.
Misty's sisters won a trip around the world, so Misty had to return home to Cerulean City to take over the duties of Gym Leader.
However, she returned home to find Pokémon Gym inspectors on the way, and discovered an angry Gyarados had been released into the Gym's main pool.
Misty was afraid, because when she was a baby she crawled into the mouth of a sleeping Gyarados and ended up getting spit out.
Misty saved Gyarados from some thieves, and managed to befriend it.
It is not known whom Gyarados was originally owned by. Its Poké Ball was left in the Gym, so it's possible that it either originally belonged to Misty's sisters, or that it was abandoned by some other trainer for being too unruly.
