My Original Pokémon Theories

1. Alder is related to Professor Birch

There really isn't a lot of evidence besides (possibly) the husky figure but their names are related. Nobody knows Professor Birch's first name, but we do know that his last name is Birch. When I looked at different types of trees, I noticed one in particular: the alder. It's a tree in the birch family. If they were related, that would make sense because Alder would be Alder Birch (in the Birch family). Also, maybe Alder is the "wild" brother and Professor Birch is the "calm" brother.

2. Gastly is Igglybuff's shadow

I know they're not from the same evolutionary line, but it kind of goes along with how the Jigglypuff and Clefairy lines are similar. Just like how Clefable is pink and Gengar is purple, Igglybuff is pink and Gastly is purple. Both theories state that the Pokémon have the same shape (Igglybuff and Gastly are circles), and, interestingly enough, both Pokémon's evolutionary lines are famous for putting their opponents to sleep.

3. Why you're not allowed up in the Lavender Radio Tower

The building sprite in HeartGold and SoulSilver looks like one floor of the radio tower with the rest of the building being the Pokémon Tower. Quite possibly, whoever did the construction on this tower built the House of Memories first and pretended to move the graves there (so as not to alarm the superstitious residents) and then only built the first floor to save money. Then, he hired a policeman to make excuses in front of the door. This also explains why you're not allowed to go into the secret area where Mr. Fuji goes.
