Scizor (Japanese: ハッサム Hassam) is a Bug/Steel-type Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Scizor has similar appearance to its evolutionary predecessor Scyther, except with a thick, metallic exoskeleton and crab-like claws. The claws have eye-like patterns on them. Scizor has two-toed feet (with one toe in front and the other in the back). Scizor has two-lobed wings (like a butterfly).
Gender differences
The female Scizor has a bigger abdomen than the male.
Special abilities
Scizor may not be as fast as Scyther, but it's basically stronger than Scyther in many other aspects.

In the anime
Scizor was first seen under the ownership of an arrogant trainer who thought he could always win by computer in EP140.
Vicious used a Scizor to retrieve Celebi in Pokémon 4Ever.
Gary Oak used a Scizor against Ash in EP269.
In AG129, Katie used a Scizor to battle Ash's Swellow during the Hoenn League. Katie's Scizor lost despite it having the type advantage.
In AG166, a girl named Luna had a Scizor disguise itself as "Red Lightning". Red Lightning went around a city, battling other peoples' Pokémon. Red Lightning would then scribble on the defeated Pokémon's face. The disguised Scizor's reign of terror ended when Ash's Pikachu blasted its costume off and when Ash's Sceptile defeated it in battle (not to mention saving Scizor's life for that matter).
Its latest appearance was in Gymbaliar in the ownership of a woman named Minae. It fought against Croagunk and lost.

In the TCG
Other appearances
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Scizor is a more dangerous version of Marill. Not only does it do more damage but it will fly around the screen targeting an opponent.
Trophy information
This evolved form of Scyther has arms ending in large pincers with distinctive eye-spot markings. It's unable to fly very far with its wings, but it can affect its body temperature by flapping them at high speeds. Its sleek look has made Scizor quite popular among collectors.
