Shroomish are small green and peach colored Pokémon with a clear inspiration from mushrooms. They are peach on the upper half, where they are spotted with green and have a small opening at the top. This section ends with frilled segments, which overlap its green underside, which is round and has small, round feet. Shroomish seem to have a near permanent frown on their face.
Shroomish are said to be mild tempered, and are often found keeping still under fallen leaves. If a Shroomish senses danger, it shakes its body and scatters toxic spores from the top of its head.
Shroomish eat naturally decayed plants, leaves, and other compost found on the forest floor.

Major appearances
Shroomish appeared in Taming of the Shroomish. Ash and his friends saved a group of these Mushroom Pokémon from having the abandoned mansion they called home from being destroyed.
Shroomish appeared in Zoroark: Master of Illusions as a few of the many local Pokémon who lives in Crown City. A few of them worked with the other Pokémon in surrounding Zorua in the park to attack him, angry at Zorua for what Zoroark did to the city. Before a fight broke out, the Shroomish, along with the other Pokémon, were calmed by Celebi.
Shroomish live in damp soil in the dark depths of forests. They are often found keeping still under fallen leaves. This Pokémon feeds on compost that is made up of fallen, rotted leaves.
If Shroomish senses danger, it shakes its body and scatters spores from the top of its head. This Pokémon's spores are so toxic, they make trees and weeds wilt.
Shroomish and its evolved form, Breloom, share their species name with Paras, Parasect, Foongus, and Amoonguss. They are all known as Mushroom Pokémon.
Shroomish can be seen as a parallel to Paras. Both of them are Grass-type Pokémon. Shroomish is exclusive to Pokémon Black, while Paras is exclusive to Pokémon White, with both Pokémon found in a Mass Outbreak in the same location in their respective versions. Additionally, both are based on fungi.
