Lysandre (Japanese: フラダリ Fleur-de-lis) is the boss of Team Flare, who seeks to create a beautiful world.The player first meets him in the cafe of Lumiose city where he is seen talking to Diantha the kalos regions champion about her acting career until the spots the player and their rival (Calem or Serena ) where he talks to the player telling them about how he dreams of a beautiful world. He appears much later during the players 2nd visit to Lumiose City after defeating Clemont at the gym and obtaining their 5th badge where he tells the player and the rest of the group about the disaster that pledged Kalos 3,000 years ago about the king of Kalos nearly vaporized all life in the land by building a weapon that killed everyone the Pokemon and and left the land devoid of life for a great many years he further elaborates how his ancestor is the kings younger brother and tells how the regions legendary Pokemon (Xerneas or Yveltal) was connected in the creation of the weapon as well as being for creating life or death to the Pokemon worlds ecosystem he then leaves and is not seen again till after the player gets their seventh badge in Anistsr City. Lysandre then sends out a live broadcast on the holo caster and tells the world that he plans on wiping out all life on earth so Team Flare are the only ones left so the can create a 'beautiful world' for them the player then storms Team Flares hideout in Lumiose City and gets to witness as the Ultimate Weapon arises from the ground of Geosenge Town and the player goes to their hideout their where the player has their battle with Lysandre but once beaten he loses control of the weapon and the legendary Pokemon breaks free from the machine and reveals that the pokemon was in the machine for 3,000 years trapped after the king realized what he had done and buried the weapon with the pokemon inside underground for 3000 years. Once free the pokemon choses the player to be the Kalos regions saver but Lysandre in an vain attempt to regain control attaches him self to a devise that allows him to tap into the power of the legendary and the weapon simultaneously but is eventually defeated for a final time and uses what remains of the weapons power to destroy the weapon and crush himself with it once gone Team Flare disbands.
