American Gothic is the name of the deck used by Ian Whiton, who made it to the Semifinals in the Senior Division in the 2013 World Championships. It is one of the four Template:Merch, released on November 4, 2013. Each Deck comes with a Worlds 2013 themed Deckbox, a booklet about the championships, a non-tournament-legal print of the sixty card deck, and the 2013 World Championships Pin.

Description

Ian Whiton's devastating American Gothic deck was a masterpiece of control for him and a masterpiece of frustration for everyone else! Unlucky opponents found their Active Pokemon rapidly locked in place and unable to benefit from Item cards as focus-shifting attacks were used to rain damage onto the Bench through a mighty combination of Accelgor, Gothitelle, Dusknoir, and Mew-EX. With nowhere to run and a severely compromised arsenal, foes fell by the wayside at impressive speed.
