Freeze-Dry (Japanese: フリーズドライ Freeze-Dry) is a damage-dealing Ice-type move introduced in Generation VI.
Effect
Freeze-Dry deals damage and has a 10% chance to freeze the foe. Unlike other Ice-type moves, it is super effective against Water-type Pokémon (even during Inverse Battles or if its type is changed by Normalize or Electrify).
If this move is changed by Electrify or it is used in an Inverse Battle (where Water is always weak to Ice), the move's type does not stack with its effect; a Water-type Pokémon hit by the move will still only receive ×2 damage.
