Grounded

A Pokémon is grounded if it can be affected by Ground-type attacks.
A Pokémon is normally not grounded if it:
- is a Flying type.
- has the ability Levitate.
- is holding the Air Balloon.
- is under the effect of the move Magnet Rise.
- is subject to the effect of the move Telekinesis.
A Pokémon can become grounded if it:
- is holding the item Iron Ball.
- is subject to the effect of the move Gravity.
- is under the effect of the move Ingrain.
- has the Flying type and used the move Roost this turn.
- is subject to the move Smack Down.
Besides taking damage from Ground-type moves grounded Pokémon are subject to:
- the entry hazards Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Stealth Rock.
- moves that change terrain.
- the opponent's ability Arena Trap.
