As it uses two separate index numbers (before fusing and after fusing), only one Black or White Kyurem can be obtained at once. Effect: Increases the chances of encountering Shiny Pokémon. The chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon in the wild is changed to 1/2730. Reveal Glass in the anime

A Reveal Glass was first seen in Meloetta and the Undersea Temple! in the hands of Giovanni. He used it to transform the Forces of Nature into their Therian Formes after successfully summoning them using Meloetta's song to open up a seal in the Abyssal Ruins during Operation Tempest.

Origin

The Reveal Glass may be based on the Demon Detecting Mirror, an item in Chinese mythology that could reflect the true identity of a yaoguai.
