Iris's Gible (Japanese: アイリスのフカマル Iris's Fukamaru) is the fifth Pokémon Iris obtained.

History

Iris and Gible

Iris first encountered Gible when she entered Blackthorn City. The small Pokémon had been causing notable damage to the city property by chewing off bits of them, and was therefore chased by the local citizens. Iris, however, defended the Land Shark Pokémon, giving him a chance to escape.

Later, Gible went up to a clock tower to look around, but fell due to a gust of wind, barely managing to hang on to one of the clock's arms. Iris climbed up to the clock tower and barely managed to save Gible without both her and Gible falling off. Afterwards, Iris read Gible's memories, discovering that he had been picked up by a Skarmory while sleeping and got dropped into the city, where he had felt confused of all the differences to his previous, more peaceful habitat. Iris then met Clair once again, and took Gible to the Dragon's Den where it could live. During Iris's battle with Clair, Gible dug his way to the Gym to watch the match. After the battle, when Iris was leaving, Gible appeared again. Understanding that Gible wanted to come along with her, Iris caught him with a Poké Ball. It was with Iris to soon after see the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza flying across the sky.

Personality and characteristics

Similar to Ash's Gible, he has the habit of biting individuals on the head, particularly Iris's Axew. Gible seems to be a bit oblivious, ignoring everything going on around him and going off to do his own things.
