Welcome to Bulbapedia, Jimmyduckegg!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format of all pages on Bulbapedia.

All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with Bulbapedia.

On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), or by using the "Your signature with a timestamp" (button_sig.png) button at the top of the edit window.

The Userspace Policy says that you should keep userspace edits (edits to User:Jimmyduckegg) to a minimum, and outlines a few other guidelines for your userspace. Keep in mind, you will not be able to create your userpage until you have made constructive edits to the mainspace first.

For a complete list of policies and editing advice, please see the Welcome Portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Userpage

- You need to confirm your email address before you can edit anything. You also need to edit the mainspace articles a bunch instead of editing personal pages, because otherwise you could get banned or have your editing privileges revoked. —darklordtrom 20:47, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

Attempt at reply number 7. (504 when I clicked Show preview, I'm just going to hope it worked) I have confirmed my email address, but it still won't let me edit my userpage. Do I need to edit mainspace pages first, I'm confused. Also, I edited on User:TTEchidna's talk page, should I not of done this. If so I apologise, I couldn't think of anyone to ask. --Jimmyduckegg 21:07, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

Attention BulbaBots / Admins / Anyone!

HELP! I can't edit my User page. Whenever I try it says "You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason: You do not have permission to edit pages in the User namespace." Why does it do this? I just joined, Have I been instantly banned for joining? --Jimmyduckegg 20:43, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

ARGH! It went horribly wrong!

Sorry! (note to self, NEVER link to another User Page again) Please dismiss that as Trial and Error, it was unintentional and went horribly wrong.--Jimmyduckegg 21:12, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

I have confirmed my email address and it won't let me edit my user page. Please help, I am aware that I need to contribute to Bulbapedia and I will in due time I just want to get my user page up first.--Jimmyduckegg 21:14, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

Gotta be established to create your page. Edit a bit. You'll get it in due time. TTEchidna 21:35, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

Do not delete talkpage comments

Please do not remove talk page messages, this includes the initial welcome template at the top of the page. I have restored the deleted messages. Should you wish to move comments, you can create an Archive (although you shouldn't need that for a while). Happy editing, and I look forward to working with you further.--Beligaronia (talk) 03:54, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Sorry to bother you again but I figured it out. What you did wrong was to use curly brackets "{" instead of "[" when linking to TTE's page. A curly bracket means a template so it takes the whole thing and dumps it onto your talk page. All intrawiki links are done using square brackets (no shift key needed).–Beligaronia (talk) 04:05, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
It's ok, I hesitated as I got notified with a warning for posing to be n the board of directors so I didn't really consider what I was deleting, I just wanted to get rid of it before I got banned. I'm getting better at this now, thankfully, I just learned of the Signature button :)--Jimmyduckegg 18:26, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Area Name Boxes

Me again, the pest. I was wondering, do the Bulbagarden Archives host images for those Route / Town / Area name boxes. You know when you enter a Route say for example Rute 1 it pops up saying Route 1 is there an image file for those and if so where do I find them and what are they called?--Jimmyduckegg 12:53, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

You mean like this? File:HGSS_Route_1.png Just a note for future reference: If you want to ask a question then do it on someone else's talk page. While people do stalk recent changes they probably won't see your question if it's on your own talk page. Probably an admin for preference but if you want to ask me I'll try and help.--Beligaronia (talk) 20:48, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Ok, and no, thats the Route itself, I mean those Sign post things that Pop-up. They where added in Crystal if you know what I mean. --Jimmyduckegg 21:02, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Yup I do know, sorry for the confusion. I've never seen an image of them, there was a route somewhere that had the map with sign box still on it but people objected so it got switched out for a clean one. What did you have in mind for it?--Beligaronia (talk) 11:07, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
Template:Sign. Instructions are on the page. —darklordtrom 11:11, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
Well if I understood him right, a dubious proposition, he means the ones that show up at the top corner of the screen when you cross a route boundary. i.e. if I stand in pallet town and head north, I get a box saying Route 1 that then fades away.--Beligaronia (talk) 11:22, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
Ohh.... I'm fairly certain we don't have them. Sorry. —darklordtrom 11:28, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
No worries, I can photoshop my own up. Thanks for your time. --Jimmyduckegg 21:54, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --Den Zen 20:19, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
