Ash's Hawlucha (Japanese: サトシのルチャブル Satoshi's Luchabull) is the third Pokémon that Ash Ketchum caught in the Kalos region.
History
Hawlucha made its first appearance in XY035, battling an Ursaring who was stealing food from a group of Pokémon. Hawlucha appeared to have beaten Ursaring, but ended up missing with its Flying Press. Ursaring tried to finish Hawlucha off but Ash and Pikachu stepped in and scared it off. Hawlucha was later found near a waterfall trying to master Flying Press. Ash offered to help Hawlucha by holding up a log for Hawlucha to aim at. Midway through the training Ursaring showed up again, accompanied by a Conkeldurr and a Machamp. Hawlucha had a battle with Machamp first and it was an even match until Ursaring and Conkeldurr stepped in and double teamed Hawlucha. Just when it seemed Hawlucha was beat Machamp jumped in and defeated both Ursaring and Conkeldurr and dragged them off.
Ash then challenged Hawlucha to a battle with his Froakie. The battle ended in a tie when Hawlucha knocked itself and Froakie out from its Flying Press. After the battle Ash invited Hawlucha to join his team, which Hawlucha accepted.
Personality and characteristics
Hawlucha is shown to be cool, calm, and collected; similar to Sceptile and Buizel. Hawlucha is very determined in battle and never gives up, no matter how bad the situation may look and is always ready to improve itself. Hawlucha is also shown to be kind and protective when he defended the smaller Pokémon's food from an Ursaring.

Hawlucha appeared in the manga adaptation of the 17th movie.
Trivia
- Hawlucha is Ash's first basic stage Flying-type Pokémon that is not capable of evolving.
- Not counting Aipom (who had no evolution at the time of her capture), Hawlucha is Ash's first Pokémon that cannot evolve since Torkoal, who was caught 502 episodes ago.
