It is another giant Pokémon that appeared in the anime.

Bruno came to the mountains near Pallet Town, to capture one of the giant Onix which was rumoured to be roaming about the mountains. When he finally found a giant Onix, it was attacking Ash and his friends. After rescuing Ash, he tried to calm the rampaging Onix. Even though it tried to attack him, he dodged it easily.

Bruno knew that something was wrong it. So he managed to calm the Onix so that he can find the problem. He soon found the problem. It was a Sandslash stuck inside Onix and it was hurting Onix. After Bruno removed the Sandslash, Onix wanted to come with Bruno, so he captured it with a Poké Ball.
