Shauna's Ivysaur (Japanese: サナフシギソウ Sana's Fushigisou) is Shauna's first Pokémon.

History

As a Bulbsaur

Shauna received Bulbasaur as her Starter Pokémon from Professor Sycamore. Bulbasaur made its debut in Summer of Discovery! when Ash and the gang first met Shauna. Shauna showed that Bulbasaur had featured in a couple of her Pokévision clips. Unlike Tierno's Squirtle, Bulbasaur was not as welcoming to Pikachu and the other Pokémon. Bulbasaur battled Serena and her Fennekin in a "first to touch" battle later in the episode. It used Energy Ball to blast straight through Fennekin's Flamethrower and land a hit, fufilling the conditions of the match and winning. Bulbasaur later starred in Team Squirtle's Pokévision video in the following episode, alongside Tierno's Squirtle and Trevor's Charmander. In the episode after that, Bulbasaur also took part in the PokéEnteering competition round of the Pokémon Summer Camp competition. Shauna finally used Bulbasaur in the Team Battle tournament in Battling into the Hall of Fame! where it battled alongside Charmander and Squirtle, making there way through to the final round which was set to be against Team Froakie. Before the battle Team Rocket managed to trick Shauna into leaving Bulbasaur with them, under the impression they'd take it to Nurse Joy. Jessie's Pumpkaboo constricted Bulbasaur, Chamander and Squirtle with Leech Seed but Ash and there trainers evenutally were led to Team Rocket by Clemont's Bunnelby and Serena's Fennekin. It later battled Pikachu, Fennekin and Clemont's Chespin in the tournament finals.

Shauna and her Bulbasaur in the Rookie Class Pokémon Showcase

Bulbasaur later accompanied its trainer to watch a Pokémon Showcase held at Lagoon Town in Dreaming a Performer's Dream!. Shauna and Bulbasaur left straight after the event.

In A Showcase Debut!, Shauna and Bulbasaur finally competed in a Pokémo Showcase Rookie Class at Coumarine City. The Theme Performance was Pokémon Styling and they went up against Jessie, disguised as Jessilee (Japanese: ムサヴィ Musavie), and her Pumpkaboo and a Performer named Alouette and her Furfrou. Bulbasaur modelled a bouquet of flowers on its bulb and the audience voted it through to the next round. It later worked with Flabébé during the Freestyle Performance and won the whole event, earing Shauna her first Princess Key.

It appered again in Tag Team Battle Inspiration! where it was reveled to have evolved into Ivysaur. It later battled alongside Tierno's Blastoise in a Tag Battle against Ash's Pikachu and Serena's Eevee. The match was called of before reaching a conclusion. It competed in the Anistar City Rookie Class Pokémon Showcase in the following episode where it helped Shauna to win the Theme Performance. It teamed up with Flabébé in the Freestyle Preformance and gave a similur Performance to before, however Serena was voted the overall winner and Shauna did not earn a Princess key.

Ivysaur performed once again in XY111 and XY112 during the Glorio City Master Class Pokémon Showcase.
