Mega Evolution

Mega Evolution was not transformation method. It's just evolution method and was cross between Forme Change and Evolution. --Samueljoo (talk) 00:37, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

It is a transformation method, not a evolution method, so to Mega Evolve, you give Pokémon a Mega Stone. --Cinday123 (Talk) 01:26, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
First, please don't answer questions for me, it's really rude. However, what you said is correct. Mega evolution is not considered an evolution method. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 01:32, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
Change it one more time and I will contact an admin and you'll be more likely to be blocked so please don't change it's a evolution method, it's a transformation into a powered-up version of its current form. --Cinday123 (Talk) 01:32, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

Mistake

Because I accidentally posted it while you are posting a comment, will you take care of my comment by removing it? --Cinday123 (Talk) 01:36, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

it's really not that big of a deal. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 02:31, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

Pokémon X

...You do realize that Pokémon Crystal was known as Pokémon X before its release, right? It's the first trivia item. And the Mobile System was in Japanese versions of Crystal. In retrospect, if a game called "Pokémon X" with a "cell phone interface" was said to be under development in Japan, it's not much of a leap to say the game turned out to be Crystal. The only other alternative is that "Pokémon X" was in development, then was completely canceled, and then Pokémon Crystal was developed, with the same code name and the "cell phone interface" from X. I don't mean to be rude, but is that really more plausible than the game referred to in the interview being Crystal? Please clear this up for me. Neal Cruco (talk) 16:57, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

First off, that interview took place after Gold and Silver had already come out in Japan. Second, eve if it hadn't, it makes no claim as to whether it was being developed before or after Gold and Silver were being developed. Third, the person who used Pokemon X was not the developer, it was someone else talking about a rumor that was mostly not similar to what was being developed, so proof that Crystal was actually known as Pokemon X by an actual source would be needed. So what would be left is pretty much, "At some point in time Crystal was being developed" which is pretty obvious.--It's Funktastic~!話してください 17:07, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

Form differences in other languages

Last month I placed an incomplete template, do any other Kalos Pokémon with forms besides Aegislash has form names in different other languages? --Cinday123 (Talk) 03:43, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

They all would need the template even if the names are basically the same in other languages. Furfrou will probably be the one with the biggest differences though. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 04:03, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

Editing a page

Do I have to edit the whole same mainspace page according to the policy? --Cinday123 (Talk) 09:13, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

I have no clue what you mean. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 13:01, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
The policy, I might have to check that see if there is. --Cinday123 (Talk) 23:34, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
It's not written in policy, but it's in the same spirit as the reason the preview button exists. Having one person editing the same page over and over again clogs up the recent changes. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 00:21, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Oh Funktastic, thank you but I won't break the rules again. --Cinday123 (Talk) 00:35, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Cat reverts

Please go to Pattyman's talk page. I have some questions that I wrote for you and Patty. --FireGambit (talk) 17:30, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

Well excuse me, princess.

Well excuse me, princess. I suppose we should remove the fact that Pikachu "has made numerous appearances on the boxes of spin-off titles" because that's obvious and not notable either. It's a trivia section. Pretty much the fun fact section. I for one found it shocking that it wasn't on the pages of the Pokemon in question, as underlevels aren't too common (albeit a lot of them are in the Friend Safari) and it seems like the kind of thing that would be on a Pokemon's trivia section.

Information shouldn't be rejected because it's obvious. Info is info, and there are plenty of people out there who don't know that underlevels even exist, so it's not nessecarily obvious. If it was inaccurate, that's one thing. But telling someone off for putting in a tidbit of information isn't right, and is quite hypocritical considering the fact that there's a great deal of relatively obvious information all over Bulbapedia. Heck, even theories are posted here as fact sometimes! "Notability" is entirely subjective. If it is fact, it is here so long as it's under the right section, on the right page, and is accurate, testable, citable, or at least has some kind of proof behind it.

I have never seen wiki staff tell someone off for adding valid, accurate facts to a page under the correct section.

But to be honest, I don't even know why I bothered to write this since I'm just a person. One person whose opinion barely affects you, and doesn't affect anyone else at all if you duct tape my mouth shut and kick me under the rug, dubbing me disrespectful or something of that sort. Fighting with authority no matter how right one may be will always result in being kicked aside, as authority has the power to do so, and to exert its power over one if they disagree.

Of course that's not to say authority doesn't do good, don't get me wrong. S'hard to run a good site like this.

I expect nothing (positive at least) to come of this essay here but either way I just wanted to put my two cents out there on the table. For you.

Enjoy your pennies.

Sophillina (talk) 00:07, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

You have got to be kidding me. First of all, I don't at all appreciate that extremely rude response to what was a simple note. Second, I said absolutely nothing about "obvious". I said it was "common", which as I'm sure you're aware does not actually mean the same as "obvious". "Common" means it's a trait shared by a large amount of Pokémon which is not true of the trivia you noted about Pikachu. And you're welcome to bring up any problems you have with how things are run here with anyone, but if how you responded above is how you're going to go about it, you'll get as far as you've gotten with me. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 04:48, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Sycamore

When I first saw that, I assumed someone was literally saying they didn't know what 'je ne said quoi' meant, until I looked the phrase up on google. Why not include that there? I see no reason to not include it. --FireGambit (talk) 06:18, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

Inkay's Egg Group Trivia Question

  • Inkay and its evolution are the only Pokémon in the {{egg3|Water 2}} that do not have Water as their type.

Should the Water 2 Egg Group be one link, or should it be {{egg|Water 2}} [[Egg Group]]? — Reshi643 05:45, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Hmm. I'm not sure it matters which one, but I'd personally go with former. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 05:59, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Old, but new.

Hello! I joined the Bulbapedia in mid 2013. Unfortunately, I only visited this site time to time just to gain knowledge about what I would like to know towards Pokemon. Now I've come to the realization that since I visit this site daily, I should probably start contributing a little bit (i.e. fixing minor errors, etc.) However, since becoming a member in 2013, I've never really learned how to create a user page and this and that. I've made just a few edits that I thought would be interesting, but I'm sure no one would care (lol). Retrospectively, I'm asking for assistance so I can be %100 ready and sure about what I'm doing on this site. Thanks! --More of MortaMorta ^_^ 22:43, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

A good place to see what pages need editing would be the Editor's Hub which shows pages that need to be made or pages that are unsatisfactory. I also know that the manga section of the site needs a lot of love. If you have edits you want to make, but you're unsure whether they're good enough, asking on the talk page of the article, or even a staff member, whether it should be added or ways to fix it so it can be notable is always a good idea.
As for the userspace, once you've made a certain number of edits and have had an account for a certain amount of time (the number of edits/length of time are secret, though you're probably good on the latter considering how old your account is), you'll gain the ability to make your userpage. When you have that ability, make sure to read Userspace policy thoroughly as there are a few rules that need to be followed, otherwise you may lose the right to edit the userspace.
Also, make sure your signature links to your userpage and talk page as stated in the Signature policy.
If you have any other questions for me, please feel free to ask! --It's Funktastic~!話してください 23:12, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

The Typos

Funktastic, have you seen any typos yet? So I checked M02 and fixed that typo and it's still fine. --Cinday123 (Talk) 04:49, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

My User Space

So if I start fixing spelling errors and adding information, I can edit my userspace again? Or is this a temporary block until I contribute more? And besides, it's not as if I haven't been contributing to this site lately, or vandalized any pages. --Kid Sonic (talk) 16:33, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
So is this true or has this site lost a contributor? --Kid Sonic (talk) 22:04, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
Yes, if you contribute to the site more you'll get your userspace privileges. And it's also not just about contributing. You need to contribute more to the site than you do to your userspace which you hadn't been doing. Any future questions about getting your privileges back should go to a Senior Administrator or higher, since I cannot change user rights. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 22:51, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

That's odd.

Seems the both of us wanted to welcome the same person. XD Even though I was first, I don't mind that much, so we can leave it the way it is now or undo. The only thing that would change is the signature anyways, so undoing won't do much. Berrenta (talk) 19:22, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Templates

Do you mind if I use some templates on this site for my wikia, I promise to give credit. :) --Hey12345 (talk) 02:21, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, but we don't want any of our content used on Wikia hosted wikis. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 02:25, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

Question about these spammers of late

So I've noticed that with all these spammers that have been popping up, whenever they get their IPs blocked as well, it always seems to be in the same range. Does Bulbapedia Staff have some internal rule against blocking IP ranges? Because if not, why not just block the whole 216.154 range rather than individual addresses? Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 16:39, 4/20/2014 (UTC)

You should ask this to someone higher up than me. I think it's been considered, but I don't know anything about whether there'd be a problem with blocking the range. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 16:44, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
Then we'd risk blocking everyone else within that range. It wouldn't be fair to constructive users who just happen to be in the same area as the spammer. That's also why we only block the IP for 6 months due to the fact that IPs change every so often. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 17:15, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

Incomplete?!

Maybe my edit had nothing to do with it at all but I was trying to help. Can you please tell me what needs to be added to the page and explain why it is tagged with incomplete. Sincerely, Dbeckelheimer6 (talk) 02:53, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Sorry to bother you but is there a way to change your username without losing everything? Thanks, Dbeckelheimer6 (talk) 03:06, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Refrence: Edit Differences

The caption which I added was reverted by you. It was better to view season [show] in the table to column than Name|Episode|Pokemon [Show]. If you think that we should not use it because it has already been used, we can think of another word to use there. --PikaTepig999 18:48, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

I don't think it's necessary to put anything there. It's already organized by seasons on the page, no need to add redundancy to the template. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 02:22, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

Re:The Preview Button and Userspace limits

Sorry about that, for the preview button I've already used it but sometimes I found the mistakes to late. for the userspace limit again sorry because again sometimes I make notice the mistakes to late. User:Animaltamer705:29, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Sunny Day

Thanks for making that change. Not sure why my edit wasn't going through. Protonk (talk) 01:27, 5 June 2014 (UTC)

Just FYI

Sent a message to Seabiscuit and also asked Abcboy's opinion on it while requesting Seabiscuit not to edit war, having noted to Abcboy that if they were reverted back a third time (to add the changes again) that I wasn't reverting them myself a third time at that point. Obviously the change was not discussed in any circumstance, and IMO only the template belonging to the Pokémon's owner belongs there in each case, but I wanted Seabiscuit to discuss the changes rather than just reverting me. My edits merely restored the page to the original condition in each case. CycloneGU (talk) 20:25, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Er

That protection thing looks like it's meant to say 21st of May, but it stops at just "21". It might need fixing. Thanks for doing that, BTW; two days should be enough time to work something out as discussion is going rapidly now. CycloneGU (talk) 19:53, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

It says 21 May 2015 for me. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 19:55, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Odd. Recent Changes shows it with the full date, but in the edit summary on the page, it reads "[Edit=Allow only administrators] (expires 19:46, 21 )" and cut. Well, it looks like it's fine from Recent Changes, so all is good. I'll talk to Abcboy about making any required edit based on the talk page discussion once an agreement is reached (or, if that doesn't happen, before protection expires based on the best solution). CycloneGU (talk) 20:15, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Edit & log summaries have a limit of about 255 characters. In the case of protections, the protection log's limit only counts the manually inserted message and reason prefix, while the "edit" caused by changing an article's protection level includes the notes that the article's protection level has been changed and the level and time spans for the protection. Since everything, except the edit history, uses the protection log, that is why the protection notice only appears cut-off in the edit history. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 20:52, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
That makes sense! I completely forgot that was also the edit summary, and that explains the cut-off. CycloneGU (talk) 20:54, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

New category for Project Fandom on Pokémon Fangames?

Hello, I noticed that you're the administrator for Project Fandom, and I am interested in contributing to this project. I would like to create an article on non-hack fangames (because right now, the only article on the topic is ROM hacks). It would include some information on notable/influential fangame projects, and maybe game projects of particular significance could have a page of their own. It just seems strange to have a detailed article on ROM hacks but not on other fan-made Pokemon game projects. I thought I would run this idea by you first to see what you think about it.
