Does the Magikarp from the Magikarp salesman in the Pokémon Center by Mt. Moon have any advantages over a regular Magikarp? File:Ani164MS.gifShinyTalk | ContribsFile:Ani408MS.gifFile:Ani410MS.gif 00:50, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, you don't need to bother fishing? :P --Vladek

Yeah, and by fishing you waste $200, while an estimate (to me) the idiot sells you Magikarp for $500...File:Ani475MS.gif Agent 448δ | DP | File:Ani282MS.gif 10:46, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
But does it have any other advantages, besides not having to fish? File:Ani164MS.gifShinyTalk | ContribsFile:Ani408MS.gifFile:Ani410MS.gif 12:20, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
I really doubt that, and I think that the scammer shown in the anime that keeps on selling Magikarp is based on that guy. TheBlazikenMaster 21:03, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, that Magikarp really doesn't have any advantages both in the animé and in the game, as far as I tested. The stats are the same useless ones, and the animé one is useless, as far as James is concerned. XD Sang'gre Habagat
Well, remember. You can't get the Old Rod until Vermilion, you spend at least $200 on Poké Balls, which don't have a sure chance of nabbing it, and then you have to train that Magikarp while training for an upcoming match with a Template:Type2 Gym Leader. So yes, there is an advantage. You get all of the extra time to train the Karp. TTEchidna 04:40, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Haha. You've got a point, TTEchidna. ^^ Sang'gre Habagat 07:57, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
