Shields Down (Japanese: リミットシールド Limit Shield) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature Ability of Minior.

Effect

In battle

Minior starts out with a heavy shell that provides it with strong defenses and protects it from status conditions. When the Pokémon's HP drops below half, at the end of the turn it loses its shell and changes to a lighter, offensively oriented form instead. It will change back if its HP goes back above half.

Outside of battle

It is unknown if Shields Down has effect outside of battle.
