Battle Bond (Japanese: きずなへんげ Bond Transformation) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature Ability of Greninja.

Effect

In battle

After a Greninja with this Ability causes an opponent to faint, it will change form into Ash-Greninja. In this form, its Water Shuriken becomes more powerful.

After the battle, the Pokémon reverts to its original form.

Outside of battle

It is unknown if Battle Bond has effect outside of battle.
