Beast Boost (Japanese: ビーストブースト Beast Boost) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. It is shared by all of the Ultra Beasts.

Effect

Reason: If two stats are tied for highest and one is already at +6, will Beast Boost increase the other stat? Does Beast Boost consider stats changed by Power Trick?
You can discuss this on the talk page.

In battle

When a Pokémon with Beast Boost causes another Pokémon (including allies) to faint through direct damage, its highest stat (other than HP) rises by one stage. If its highest stat is already at +6 stages, Beast Boost will not activate, not even in the case of a tie.

Determining the highest stat does not take into account any modifiers caused by status conditions, items, or moves; however, it does consider stats changed via Power Split, Guard Split, Power Trick and Speed Swap. In the case of a tie, it increases one stat, prioritized in this order: Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed.

Outside of battle

Beast Boost has no effect outside of battle.
