Kalos League Passion with a Certain Flare! (Japanese: 激闘カロスリーグ！集え、すべての熱き想いよ！！Fierce Fighting at the Kalos League! Gather, All of My Passion!!) is the 129th episode of the XY series, and the 928th episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan on August 4, 2016 and in the United States on October 22, 2016.

The day before the Kalos League finals between Ash and Alain, our heroes meet Alain’s young friend Mairin when she rescues Clemont’s wayward Chespin! Team Flare is also in Lumiose City, preparing for a secret operation while all eyes are on the League—and Lysandre has plans for Ash once the League is over.
Meanwhile, Professor Sycamore, who has been researching Ash-Greninja, shows our heroes an old manuscript describing the mysterious Bond Phenomenon, which requires Trainer and Pokémon to have a particularly close connection. Afterward, Ash rallies his Pokémon for the battle ahead, while Alain trains hard with his Charizard. His mission to gather Mega Evolution energy is nearly complete...

Following Ash victory over Sawyer during the Lumiose Conference, Ash receives his Pokémon from Nurse Joy who wishes him luck in the finals when Meyer arrives with Clembot. Sawyer is with Serena, Clemont and Bonnie making notes in his notepad when Ash joins them with Meyer and Clembot who greets his children with some snacks before the finals. Clembot says he waited in line to get them which Serena says couldn't have been easy but Meyer says was a piece of cake. Ash brings out his Pokémon to dig in and Serena and Clemont do the same. Sawyer and Meyer both wish Ash luck as Pancham and [[Chespin's {{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] get into a fight over the last snack which sends it flying as they run after it.
Chasing after the snack, Pancham and Chespin get separated in the crowd. Chespin grabs the snack only for a Murkrow to take it out of his hands leaving Chespin upset. Mairin is at a nearby stand looking for a souvenir and picks a Jirachi accessory for Chespie. Sawyer leaves the gang and Serena notices Pancham and Chespin are missing. Chespin is still sad over losing the snack and bumps into Mairin who wonders where its trainer is and Chespin notices it has become lost. Mairin promises to help Chespin find its trainer. Ash and his friends are searching for their missing Pokémon when they spot Pancham who has no idea where Chespin is and they continue their search.
Tierno, Trevor and Shauna are eating some snacks when Trevor spots Mairin walk past and recognises Chespin as Clemont's. Ash and his friends are still searching when Tierno, Mairin, Shauna and Trevor reunite them with Chespin.
