Stat boosts

Just a minor style note, wouldn't it be a little easier to replace the "Attack, Defense, Sp Attack, Sp Defense, Speed +1" text with just "All Stats +1"? Kohdok (talk) 06:45, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

The totem auras don't boost accuracy and evasion, so "all stats" is inaccurate. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 06:46, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Movesets?

Should we incorporate the moves the Totems and their allies use on the page as well? Serebii.net has them listed on the Island Trials subsection of its Sun/Moon page. I would enter them myself, but I am uncertain of how to do so without breaking the formatting. --UB00 (talk) 06:43, 11 December 2016 (UTC)

It's not really worth it here. It's already on location pages. Tiddlywinks (talk) 06:50, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
To add to that, we can't steal information from other fansites, so even if we wanted to include them, we'd have to compile them ourselves (since if Serebii has an error and we duplicate that error, it's strong evidence that we've stolen from them). Totem Pokémon being an "alternate form".

Hey, aren't the Totems just bigger versions of their normal counterparts, if one were to take away the aura? For instance, a regular Gumshoos is much smaller than the protagonist, but a Totem-size Gumshoos is almost taller than the player character. Technically, they're an "alternate variation" of their normal counterparts, with no difference in moves, stats, etc. Would this be worth noting? Also, I've discovered that if Totem-size Pokemon are hacked into the save, then they cannot be traded via GTS/Wonder Trade.IM-T-MAN2 (talk) 16:14, 11 December 2016 (UTC)

I don't think there's much worth to trying to note it. It's not really going to affect most people in any way, and it doesn't affect anything we cover on any other pages on BP... It's the sort of thing that'd probably fit better within a more technical page, like Structures pages. Tiddlywinks (talk) 16:23, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
If I remember correctly, it was discovered that Totem Pokémon have a weight four times that of their regular counterparts, so they might count as alternate forms in that regard. But other than a link on Variant Pokémon, I don't think there's much use in considering them alternate forms. --SnorlaxMonster 03:22, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
Lana mentions that the Totem Pokémon are specially trained, which implies they aren't separate forms. --HoennMaster 04:52, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
I didn't interpret that to mean that the Captains took regular Pokémon and specially trained them to be Totem Pokémon, I took it to mean that they specially trained Pokémon which were already Totem Pokémon to serve in their trials. --SnorlaxMonster 04:57, 12 December 2016 (UTC)

New Page for Special Auras in Sun and Moon?

Do you think a page where sun and moon's different auras can be presented, like the red Ultra Beast aura or the Totem Auras? Reshiespeon (talk) 18:49, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

18:53 edit: Oops, I just read something about the auras, so this is outdated, and I can't delete it. Sorry! Reshiespeon (talk) 18:52, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

SM025 moves

In the episode the Rattata and Raticate were seen using Bite. You can tell because it looks exactly the same as another Bite user, Rockruff, from the same series. The Totem one used Hyper Beam as well, which has always been clearly identified and still is. Is there any argument against this other than the fact that it wasent "100% identifiable".--Pikablu (talk) 17:03, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

People keep undoing the moves despite the fact that no one has given a reason here on why they shouldn't be mentioned. Talk pages sure get a lot done, all it's showing is that admins do what they want without consulting others or taking their ideas into account. Maybe the conversation can start now???--Pikablu (talk) 12:17, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
Reasons were given in edit summaries and/or directly on talk pages for most of the users that were reverted, please don't pretend no reason's been given.
In that light: you, at least, know our policy. Personally, I refrained from commenting immediately so that others could voice any opinions they had and I could see what people think. I didn't want to lay out staff policy and seem to be shutting down discussion before it could even start. Apparently I was in a lose-lose scenario, though. =P Tiddlywinks (talk) 12:23, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
Excuse my bluntness but... have you even read your talk page, Pikablu? Tiddlywinks left a message regarding this. Don't play the victim when you don't check your own talk page.--ForceFire 12:27, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
I concede that the biting move could have been Bite, Crunch, Super Fang or Hyper Fang; more likely one of the two latter but, indeed, we cannot tell. BUT Alolan Raticate can'teven learn Charge Beam. Don't throw the anime move errors, did anybody think it wasn't Hyper Beam? Surely, everybody thought "Oh, I like the new Hyper Beam animation" or something like that. It just seems daft to not put anything regarding moves in the infobox when it very clearly used two different moves. Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 14:29, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
Why not? The writers don't have to follow the rules of the games, especially if it revolves around what moves a Pokémon can use. And we're not going to assume the writers are going to make a completely new animation for a move, until said new animation is proven to be the move. Other wise, we assume the move keeps its animation from the previous series.--ForceFire 03:17, 7 May 2017 (UTC)

Can someone please mention that Raticate had Gumshoo's cry in Moon?

I was playing Moon, but when Raticate showed up in the cutscene, I heard Gumshoo's cry instead of Raticate. Can someone please add that? My trivia ban's still in effect. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 19:50, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
