Ash's Pidgeot
Pidgeot (Japanese: ピジョット Pigeot) was the third Pokémon gotten by Ash during his travels through Kanto.
Ash caught it as a Pidgeotto in the Viridian Forest. It was Ash's first bird-like Pokémon, but it wasn't used much.
Not having much of a personality, it was generally just used to blow away Smokescreens and pop holes in Team Rocket's balloon.
After Ash returned to Pallet Town following the Indigo League, Ash encountered an old enemy, the Spearow Ash had tried to catch the first day of his journey had evolved into Fearow and was leading other wild Spearow harrassing the local Pidgey flock.
Pidgeotto evolved into Pidgeot and defeated the the Fearow and Spearow, and Ash left it behind to guard the wild Pidgey.
