The Lunalium Z (Japanese: ルナアーラＺ Lunala Z) is a type of Z-Crystal introduced in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. It is a Pokémon-specific Z-Crystal associated with Lunala and Dawn Wings Necrozma and allows either to upgrade its Moongeist Beam into the special Z-Move Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom.

In battle
Allows Lunala and Dawn Wings Necrozma (or a Pokémon transformed into one of these Pokémon) to upgrade their Moongeist Beam into the special Z-Move Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom.
Unaffected by item negating effects (such as Embargo and Klutz). Item manipulating effects (such as Trick and Fling) cannot remove a Z-Crystal from a Pokémon.
Outside of battle
A held Lunalium Z is automatically removed if the Pokémon is traded between players.
