Introduced in Generation VII Pocket Generation VII Z-Crystals

The Eevium Z (Japanese: イーブイＺ Eievui Z) is a type of Z-Crystal introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon. It is a Pokémon-specific Z-Crystal associated with Eevee and allows it to upgrade its Last Resort into the special Z-Move Extreme Evoboost.

In battle

Allows Eevee (or a Pokémon transformed into Eevee) to upgrade its Last Resort into the special Z-Move Extreme Evoboost.

Unaffected by item negating effects (such as Embargo and Klutz). Item manipulating effects (such as Trick and Fling) cannot remove a Z-Crystal from a Pokémon.

Rayquaza cannot Mega Evolve if it holds a Z-Crystal.

Outside of battle

A held Eevium Z is automatically removed if the Pokémon is traded between players.

In the anime

An Eevium Z in the anime

An Eevium Z first appeared in SM065, where it was revealed that Kagetora had given it to Ilima after being defeated by him. Later in the episode, Ilima used the Z-Crystal with his Eevee to perform Extreme Evoboost while fighting a group of Team Skull Grunts. Eevee was given a massive power boost that allowed it to easily defeat the Grunts and send them blasting off.
