Trivia
Each of the Pokémon-ex in EX Ruby & Sapphire seem to be based on popular cards from pre-EX Series sets. This card in particular appears to be based on Neo Genesis Sneasel, a card which was banned in some formats due to the power of its Beat Up attack. What balances out this version from being overly effective is that it requires an extra Colorless Energy, and is on a Pokémon-ex card (which are worth two prizes when Knocked Out by the opponent).
Origin
Double Scratch is a variant of Scratch, a move in the Pokémon games that Sneasel can learn. Beat Up is a move in the Pokémon games that Sneasel can learn.
