Callahan (Japanese: カガチ Kagachi) is one of the main characters of The Power of Us.

History

Callahan

Callahan was first seen meeting up with Mia and Kelly in Fula City. Kelly believes Callahan to be the best catcher. At Kelly's request, he told the story of Lugia but lied to include himself in the story. This got him noticed by Toren who was having to find a speaker for a research presentation. Kelly suggested that Callahan entered the Pokémon Catching Race which he agreed to do. Toren spoke with him about doing the research presentation, which Callahan agreed to do if Toren assisted him during the Pokémon Catching Race which Toren agreed to do, lending him Staryu as his partner. During the Pokémon Catching Race, he rescued a Sudowoodo from a Golduck which later started to follow him around. With Toren's help, Callahan won the competition and was approached by Risa who was looking to find a rare Pokémon for her brother Rick. Not knowing where to find it, Callahan lied and said it could be found on the mountain.

The next day, Callahan assisted with the clean up, where Risa confronted him after finding out about his lies. The clean up delayed his arrival at the research presentation which lead Toren to do it himself. By accident, a video was shown which revealed that Toren had assisted Callahan during the race and exposed his lies.

Character

Callahan is a braggart who has a habit of telling grandiose, self-serving lies. Over the course of the movie, however, he learns to be more honest. He also cares deeply for his sister and niece. Callahan is shown to be a good aimer, as seen when he was able throw a ball at a board, hitting the centre and earning a prize which he gave to Kelly. His good aim came in useful at the end of the movie where he was able to throw the antidote at the windmill.
