Lucario (Japanese: ルカリオ Lucario) is a Steel/Fighting-type Pokémon.
Lucario's height is 1.2 meters, and its weight is 54.0 kilograms.
Name origin
Lucario's name is a corrupted version of the word oracle spelt backwards.
Due to a mistranslation of it's Japanese name, many refer to this Pokémon as Rukario, however this spelling is incorrect.
Lucario appears to be based on the Egyptian god Anubis, who has the head of a jackal.
Additional Information
In the Pokemon movie "Mew and the Wave-Guiding Hero: Lucario", the jackal-like Pokemon is considered a god to the town where it appears in front of Ash and Co.
Lucario will probably be a Legendary Pokemon in Diamond/Pearl, but will only be obtainable as were Mew/Celebi/Jirachi/Deoxys.
