The Dive Ball (Japanese: リピートボール Dive Ball) is a type of Poké Ball introduced in Generation III. It can be used to capture wild Pokémon.

Effect

When used from the Bag in a wild encounter, it will attempt to capture the wild Pokémon with a catch rate modifier of 3.5× if used while underwaterRSEORAS or on a water-dwelling PokémonORAS/Other games or 1× if otherwise.

A Dive Ball

The debut of most of the specialty balls, both from Generation III and IV, came in the ending Which One ~ Is It?, which contained the first appearance of the Great Ball and Ultra Ball, as well as the first anime appearance of the Premier, Heal, Net, Dusk, Nest, Quick, Timer, and Dive Balls.

In We Know Where You're Going, Eevee!, Lana caught her Eevee, Sandy, in a Dive Ball.
