No, more like the Japanese romanization of wool, but stylized. (Wulu (wool in romaji) -> Wooloo (to include wool)) It is basically when you translate something into another language on Google Translate and then translate the output into the original language again, but cuter.--Buddy002 (talk) 04:00, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
Wooloo is based on a Scottish Blackface Sheep
The Scottish Blackface is a breed of sheep that is very common on uk farms, with thick white wool and sometimes solid black face. They are also notable for having long, curled horns. Given that Galar is based in the uk, and wooloo has what looks like horns coming in, I'm confident that this specific breed was the inspiration. --Goldhusky (talk) 15:02, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- That specific breed is not the only breed to have a black face. There are a lot of sheep with black faces. Wooloo has stubby horns, which could be any shape when grown in and we certainly shouldn't make assumptions. Finally, we shouldn't necessarily base our guesses on the region's origin; there are koalas in Alola, for example. While the region's origin is sometimes helpful, it should not be a large factor.
