Russian name

Obstagoon's Russian name is Обстагун ''Obstagun'', could someone add it please? --Raltseye prata med mej 23:04, 7 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

English name

I see that Obstagoon's name can be based on 'obstruct' (also works with it's new move Obstruct), but it could also be based on 'obstinate-stubbornly refusing to change one's opinion or chosen course of action, despite attempts to persuade one to do so'. - unsigned comment from Srushj11 (talkcontribs)

I can also see that. By the way, don't forget to sign your comments using four tildes (~). Kikugi (talk) 04:53, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Inspiration.

For species I feel like this guy (and the linoone, not so much the zigzagoon) might be based on honey badgers in temperament and european badgers in appearance (and possibly a little bit of inspiration from hyenas, too, but definitely mostly badger.)

It's also worth noting that their patterns also resembles grease makeup (as worn by bands like KISS and Insane Clown Posse). This is also fitting with their use by Team Yell, which IMO seem to be a charicature of particularly dedicated punk rock/heavy metal fans.

The Galarian Evo line's tongue constantly sticking out heavily resembles the way Gene Simmons has his tongue out while performing as a member of KISS. Obstagoon even has a widow's peak like Gene, and its grey fur resembles the armour he wears when dressed up. LordHeinz (talk) 17:31, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Important Note

This Pokémon is the first new evolution of an old Pokémon since Gen 4. I think this might be important to make note of in a trivia section. Pikatwig (talk) 22:48, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
